While the new aircraft has a new engine and makes more use of light composite materials for a superior flight performance, including the ability to exceed Mach 2 speeds, the platform’s most significant improvements are arguably those made to its beyond visual range capabilities.

It all comes down to the pilots. The jf17 can stand on its own in a classic dodfight I only see the f16 edging it in a beyond visual range engagement

Did you watch the video? Jf-17 could not make tight turns and needed the entire airspace to pull gs in such maneuver. Jf-17 goes into the spiral on high speed to avoid stalling in low attitude. In such a maneuver, a pilot in F-16 will outmaneuver Jf-17 and take it out with Cal.50 not even missile.
