Listen up! Most people creating content are doing it completely wrong. Although they get lots of likes, comments on their posts and they understand how to work the algorithm, they aren’t making any sales.

If you want to get results with your efforts, then you need to be very strategic and your posts must have a purpose. Otherwise, you’re wasting your time just posting content to get likes. The people who are on your friend’s list, FB group, or following you on your blog and social media channels only care about one thing… themselves. If you’re posting quotes and simple one-liners you may get likes and comments, but it will never turn into people buying products from you.

Here’s what you need to know…You’re not selling a product you’re selling people out of their hell (their current state and problem) and giving them the solution to get to heaven (their desired state which fixes all of their problems). Your product, service or opportunity is simply the vehicle that will help solve all their problems and achieve their desired results.

People following you will only take you seriously if:
~ Your content talks about the problems they’re struggling with and how they can solve that problem.
~ Your content makes them believe you have the solution or know of the solution to help them.
~ Your content makes them believe they can achieve the result you’re claiming.
~ Your content makes them desire your product to solve the problem.

99% of the content you create should be focused on your perfect customer. If you consistently create content that talks about the topics they struggle with, want to learn, and are seeking solutions for then you will start to become the person they know, like, trust and relate to. Once people feel comfortable with you and you’ve established a bit of trust and the relationship starts to develop, people will be open to buying products from you.

So if you’re not getting results with your blog or social media posts, then you need to take a look at the type of content you’re posting and ask yourself if the content you’re creating is really speaking to your customer so they will be interested in doing business with you. Or, are you just focusing on vanity metrics like getting lots of likes and getting people to comment on your posts? The former makes you lots of money the latter just makes you feel the warm and fuzzies.
