This is the real meaning of cluelessness! Meaning that anybody kidnapped should be ready to pay the supreme price as a sacrifice to end kidnapping? They should keep on vindicating Bishop Kukah. 27 Likes 2 Shares |

Once ransom will continue to be paid, these people will find it very difficult to stop their crime, because in a situation where you kidnap somebody and receive millions of Naira me what they will do to end this morning within a week or so? Great advice use that ransom money on guns instead. Trusting inept government bureaucrats to protect your life and property is foolish. Lol you'll become an IDP if you go that route. If they already got your family do whatever you have to pay or spray them with bullets. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Eye service, what's ransom to compare what your demigod and lifeless President Buhari at Aso Rock is doing with the releasing, training, paying and re- integrate Boko Haram into the society. Moreover, if you don't pay and you person gets killed, what will government do. Nonsense 1 Like |

As a government you failed to give your citizens maximum security. But you want citizens to make sacrifice with the lives of their own when kidnapped just because of your incompetent as a government. This is a clear indication that Nigerians are on their own. 3 Likes |

Katsina residents should tell him to STFU. You can't protect the lives and properties of the people which is one of the core functions of the government, yet he wants the same people they have failed to protect not to pay the ransom in other to get their loved one's back home in one piece from the hands of the kidnappers? Nigerian leader's are clearly out of touch with the realities on ground and they just go about making brainless, shameless and idiotic comments on a daily basis. 2 Likes |

In other words, what the government is saying is that Katsina citizens should be will ing to sacrifice their lives at the hands of kidnappers rather than pay their way out. Meanwhile same government negotiates with and fraternizes with the terrorists. Can any one tell me another definition of a failed state? 4 Likes 1 Share

As hard as it sounds, that is actually the way to go... But emotionally, it is not easy for the kidnapped & the family who rightly want to see their loved ones set free as soon as possible, without harm. That said, the government (at all levels) need to do more in securing lives & ensuring that such criminals are punished for their crimes. When a criminal knows that he/she will be eventually caught & made to pay severely for the crime, that would be a bigger 'incentive' to stop criminality at all levels, not just kidnappings... Like the saying goes, no rest for the wicked... When they can't even enjoy their loot & are always on the run, they will be forced to at least tone down their activities or abandon it for less risky ventures... But even then, they should be hunted down like dogs & made to pay in full for their crimes... The bottom line.... There must be Equity & Justice at all times & without fear or favour... |
