CBN does not give loans directly to individuals and does not keep records of defaulters either. Consumer lending is not a function of CBN. This is done by credit bureau, loans are either given by commercial banks or Micro finance banks. Credit bureau will only flag accounts that have defaulted in paying back their loans |
