yanabasee:Whether you believe it or not, Government always has a plan, nothing just happens by chance, they did not plan for it, the bridge is not in their plans, most importantly you need permission from the Local Government & State before any construction can commence, anything without a permit is null & void ab initio no matter how well executed. |

isthatso: If it is a heritage site then relocate all the indigenous inhabitants and lock down the place to all but tourists. You cannot have folks living there and deny them basic infrastructure or the right to live or profit off the/their land. It is that contradiction that is causing this problem. ...and by the way the term 'flyover bridge' reverberates as badly as 'ATM machine'. A flyover is a type of bridge that passes or crosses over a road beneath and I cannot see one amongat those photographs. |

KanuSE:So you believe you are more credible & know more than the people ruling you, & you are on Nairaland passing comments? Those in power are the cream of the crop for today, a bad tree can never yield good fruits, a vicious cycle with no end in sight. |

jaytii:Calm down my side chick. I understand what you mean. the government are demolishing it because it will aid illegal selling of the state's forest assets like woods and others. the question is does demolishing the flyover make sense instead of completing the work and monitor every activity going on there |

It should be pulled down and a new and better bridge be constructed for legal activities, that way its a win - win situation... 1 Like 1 Share |

Fahdiga:Once it is illegal, it is illegal, nothing can make it legal, that is the law, it must be demolished, ignorance of the law, shall never be accepted as an excuse, why do Senators with their constitutional mandate still need approval before carrying out any public works? You must have a permit, anything done without a permit is an abandoned conclusive project. |
