Foxnews again, I know online censorship is bad, it can be exploited for political gain. I don't think any media is trying to censor Trump, he is the attacker or bully in this case. Unlike what we have in China, banning Trump helps to stemmy impending political disaster in the USA. If things had happened in the other way with the way he is trying to instigate social unrest with his supporters, people would have blamed Twitter for not doing enough to curtail him. Same thing happened in 2016 when some false news stories were being circulated on Facebook against Hillary Clinton campaign, leading to all sorts of unfounded allegations being shared regarding the email controversy, nothing has been found yet up to this moment, but it helped right wing party like Republican to gain enormous supports from voters which eventually produced Donald Trump. This event led to privacy concern in the EU and more stringent control of user data, Facebook was on the spotlight with multiple lawsuits pilling up. So Donald Trump is using the social media space to unfurl dangerous precedents in the USA polity much more than the infringement on free speech. I think this banning is a right call, this is unlike China banning Facebook and Twitter.

I feel the problem with anonymous, decentralized networks is that they're hotbeds for crime- imagine a social network with no moderation at all. Isis and Boko Haram would probably even use it to openly recruit. After all, nobody's there to stop them. At the same time, we also have concerns about balancing free speech with moderating violence. Trump had to be banned, he was too dangerous for a normal, sane society. But the people angry about free speech being suppressed have legitimate concerns. Should we really give one man (Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg, Seun Osewa, etc) the power to control discussion? Give them the right to be the ultimate judge? Yes, it's their platform, private property, but that kind of sole power makes them the judge and the jury, the ultimate arbiter of public discussion. This whole issue is a real head scratcher.

What Jack and co. is telling us that they have preference news or statement for the world. This is social media tyrant rising.

Imagine in Nigeria were election are rigged, but you are not allowed to say much.

I am part of those who believe many social media including, Tv, radio, magazines are brainwasher tools. You are brainwashed to the extent you find it hard to question the news source or heard the other voice.

Freedom of speech is a farce and ultimately has one outcome.

They lauded the desolation of lives and properties by black lives matter arsonists and antifa miscreants. Democrat politicians were caught on camera cheering the destruction of businesses and incitement of violence but the media didn't talk about it. Everything stinks of hypocrisy!
