I did an early morning search on the Twitter page of the Nigerian Air Force today and realise they have apologies for the costly mistake after Sahara reporters call them out.

Seems the Air force have more intergrity than the Army.

Kudos to them..

God bless the military........

(1/4) Our attention has been drawn to the inclusion of some erroneous pictures amongst those posted earlier on the terrorists’ gun trucks & other vehicles destroyed by the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE (ATF OPLD) at Marte on 15/16 January 2021

(2/4) On further investigation, it has been discovered that the pictures sent from the OPLD Theatre inadvertently included a few pictures from other encounters with terrorist elements. The error is highly regretted.

(3/4) The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) wishes to state that the inclusion of the pictures was not deliberate & does not take anything away from the huge success of the air operation that dealt a decisive blow on the terrorists as shown in the widely circulated video.

(4/4)Most of the pictures earlier circulated were indeed from the recent successful air strikes at Marte. The few erroneous pictures have now been expunged & all pictures here are those from the “Battle of Marte”. Thank you for your understanding and continued support for the NAF

Apologies accepted because the NAF under the present CAS-Abubakar Sadiq is the only wing of the armed forces that have been so outstanding in equipment and man power development.

However, embarrassing incident like this should be avoided by tagging all your loaded photos with a date & time tag.Shame on the Nigerian army.Their shameless-ness in the Zaria & Lekki massacres are still fresh in mind.

You can see the difference in the heads governing the forces....NAF are more professional and it takes that to admit to the truth. But it's a mistake that shouldn't have happened in the first these things goes through a process before they are published. I'm a content person if the organization I work for win's an award in 2021 I can't make a post of it with 2018 pictures except I'm doing a throwback

Back to Nigeria what Nigeria needs to change is just one leader that's commited and truthful and sincere about solving Nigerian issues.....I think Osibanjo is not far from that...although he has appendages like most politicians BUT HE IS different just like zulum from every other Nigerian politician alive today...

They apologize ke.

Using it will not make NIGERIANS believe in them.
They shouldn't have used it in the first place.
Sahara reporters now burst them and they are looking for excuse.

Well, let's wait for what Lai will say.

There was no need looking for cheap scores because the sane minds only take less than 1% of what Nigeria government and it agencies say. Though you guys are 100% more sane than the Army.

NAF has once again proven to be the most professional arm of the military. If it was the NA, they will keep on denying even with evidence.

Kudos to NAF and it's leadership.

If they were not caught will they apologize... A typical Nigerian is easy to buy over.... That's why every politician uses same manifesto during campaign and we clap every time they read it out.

Shame on large population of low brained Nigerians

Such a shame! Reactions as usual show how mediocre as a people we have become, easily satisfied and appeased by empty words without demanding excellence or accountability! Why aren't we hearing of someone resigning, reprimanded by way of demotion or even sacked?
Tomorrow some careless personnel will commit similar blunders and the military command will cover it up with some mealy mouthed apology only because they were caught pants down! If Sahara did not spot this, they would have gotten away with their lies!

That is how they used airstrikes to murder IDPs about 2-3 years ago in Borno and all we heard was useless justification without compensation and justice for victims and even those left traumatized!
