You Lack The Morality To Criticize The Buhari - Led Govt, Nigerians Tackle Shehu by murecool(m): 10:09pm On Jan 20, 2021
Nigerians have come after Senator Shehu Sani, the former national assembly member representing Kaduna central at the Senate for criticizing the Federal Government's social schemes.

Senator Sani has been one of the strong critic of the President Muhammadu Buhari - led administration after losing the senatorial seat to Senator Uba Sani.
The acclaimed activist, on Wednesday condemned the cash transfer to the low-income earners under the Rapid Response Register (RRR) where beneficiaries will receive the stipend for six months.

Questioning viability of the scheme via his Twitter handle, @shehusani, said “Lifting 20Million Nigerians out of poverty with 5k will be miraculous.”

It would be recalled that as a senator, Shehu Sani distributed transistor radios in seven local government areas under his senatorial district in what he called a move to raise their consciousness.

Responding to Shehu Sani, Ajede Oluwaseun wrote, @Oluwaseun_ajede, wrote “Do people still take sanni serious here?”

Another Twitter user, @eniola_opeyemi, said “Improving the standard of living of your constituents with transistor radios is historical”.

“It may be miraculous to you but Rapid Response Register is an intervention by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, centred on urban and semi-urban areas that are economically impacted by the COVID–19 pandemic,” @yakubu_prince1 tweeted.

Condemning the former senator, @gloria_adagbon, said “Sir, you should know better that the N5k support for the poor of the poorest is just one of some initiatives to help people cope with the economic hardship made worse by Covid-19. As a Senator, what did you do to help your constituents? You shared transistor radios to help abi?”.

Giving a brief of the scheme, @ekitiketekan wrote “1. He wasn't talking about 5k alone, he was talking about the whole #ESP
ESP includes 5million solar panel, Mass housing, Survival Fund,
Payroll support, Investment in MSMEs, Tech and Agriculture

He added that, "You use radio to empower your people . You are shameless”.

In a press statement issued by the Vice - President's spokesman titled “ESP Cash Transfer Scheme: Lifting 20 million Nigerians out of poverty in next 2 years now within reach, says Osinbajo” the VP said “the groundbreaking success of the RRR, now emboldens us to achieve our aspiration of a social security programme for a minimum of twenty million Nigerians in the next two years.

VP Osinbajo noted that “this will be the largest of its kind on the continent. This (aspiration) is, at least from the perspective of this tested approach, now well within our reach.”

He added saying that “the only constraint, of course, is the funding which we must look for because, this country deserves a social security scheme that will not merely alleviate poverty but also create wealth for the millions of those who are waiting for this opportunity.

“Our government launched the National Social Protection Policy (NSPP) in 2017 to provide the framework for institutionalizing the work we started since 2016 on reducing extreme poverty in Nigeria, based on our administration’s vision to create a comprehensive social security programme for the poor and vulnerable and thereafter the pledge to lift 100 million Nigerian’s out of poverty in ten years,” he explained.

What was Buhari's moral right when he critised Jonathan some years back? I have lost so much confidence in this current administration. The most corrupt & disorganize government in the history of human existence.
