Chief Hon Tega born to the family of Late Evang John Akegor started his early life at Rim mission Seminary School / Okene Senior Secondary School and LA primary School for his primary and post primary education before proceeding to Heritage Polytechnic study’s Business Administration/ Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro where he obtained his first degree and post graduate.

Chief Hon Tega foray into politics started when he was elected APC councilorship Aspirate representing Agbarho Ward 3 in Ughelli North LG Council .

He is one of the vocal advocates of the #Not Too young to run movement in Nigeria. His passionate about youth development and empowerment is committed to the growth of young people in Nigeria.


As a young and budding politician, Chief Hon Tega has the burning desire to make things happen positively. He is not too happy with the level of development in his ward, and Agbarho in general which spurred him to come out to contest the councillorship position of his ward with a view to changing the status quo.

His vision and mission for his ward is aimed at providing an effective, resourceful and capable representation as a platform for the economic and social transformation of ward 1, Agbarho, Ughelli North.

It was not surprising therefore that in a rally Tega held to intimate his ward of his political ambition, large crowd of indigenes were around to galvanize support for him in his primary election

In view of the love and admiration his people have for him, they rallied round him and gave him the needed support that made him came out victory in the election he represented the Agbarho ward 3 .

Chief Hon Tega was elected with an overwhelming majority to represent APC Agbarho ward 3 Agbarho, Ughelli North He had marked by the delivery of numerous projects and human development opportunities for the people of his ward He is the Convener Agbarho freedom praise .

A detribalised and courageous Deltan, Chief Hon Tega provided patriotic and dedicated service to people of Agbarho and Ughelli North LG . He is the Adviser 1 of Agbarho Youth body for peace in Agbarho .

He continues to be a major voice and mobiliser for economic transformation, human capital development, people oriented policies and poverty alleviation.
