Most Nigerians have Sleep Apnea and they don’t even know it - they will be saying winch dey press them for night but that’s simply insufficient oxygen going through their brain while asleep making them struggle and someone could lose his or life in that process -

Secondly Nigerians think that high BP is for the old people ONLY who worry too much - that’s not true...I have seen teens in the western world have been diagnosed with HBP most likely based on genetics and most ignorant people in Nigeria dread and oppose treatment to high BP thinking it means their life is over when it will actually save their life in the long run once they get on treatment. Not talking about health matters won’t make it go away if there is one.

Lastly, how many people really know their cholesterol numbers in Nigeria? how often do people go for blood work to know their blood sugar level, Kidney numbers - Liver number’s and check their EKG to know their cardiovascular trends and risk assessment for heart disease or stroke ?

You may be surprised that almost 9 out of 10 Nigerians do not EXCEPT WHEN THEY FALL ILL AND probably it’s too late and THEN THEY BLAME IT ON THE WICKED WORLD and some wicked Step mom, village people and some winch in the neighborhood- We dread taking responsibility for our lives in Africa because it exposes our lack of commitment to do the right thing- We find it very convenient to blame others for our own issues just to feel good but helpless and get sympathy


My advise is - If you can spend money on food, makeup, bone straight hair, iphone, gucci and prada designers, please allocate a small fraction of that money to check your health regularly because you have just this one body - please take care of it - MAY HER SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE , Amen!
