Just a simple piece of legislation decentrealising the national police and/or making way for the creation of state police so that we can ultimately hold state governments responsible for the viability of crime in their spheres of influence. So that crime can become an electoral issue at state level.

What concerns IGP Adamu with this man's unfortunate demise. A volcano on Jupiter will not move a feather on earth. So faraway from him and his office will be the anger, the protest and the heat from this tragedy that nothing, absolutely nothing will change or positively happen. Folks, the most important things as regards to life and living should be closest to the points of need, domiciled at home.

It is an absolute tragedy not to demand for a total restructuring of the security services in Nigeria in the midst of the greatest period of insecurity in the history of this country since the civil war. How many more people will be needlessly lost before we push for... a simple line of new legislation.

If you're lucky enough to live abroad, STAY PUT! Don't go to Nigeria for a visit no matter how tempting it is! If it's a burial, use zoom. If it's a naming ceremony, use zoom, use WhatsApp, use any app to attend virtually! It saves you money and your life! There is nothing in Nigeria for you except death! You have escaped the shithole, embrace it! Argue with your ancestors!

So when are you coming home

Buhari should shamefully vacate his position as the president of Nigeria. Enough of this horrible news every seconds. He failed in all ramifications. Can't someone drag him out of that sit. God!!. It's too much for crying out loud.

Buhari has turned Nigeria to the underworld capital of the world. Nigeria is now officially the most dangerous place in the world all thanks to the lifeless cow we have as a president

It is not Buhari's fault. It is was not Jonathan's fault and neither his predecessors. This is just the beginning of what is still to come, let's say a decade from now. The main problem facing the country is lack of value. A four years tenure or eight years can't fix the problem. No value! No plan! The #endsars protest was suppose to be an opener and the beginning of the process that will make us detect our value. We have no value and that is why it is possible to hear a rumour that mc oluomo has an ambition to govern Lasgidi. Just a rumour I heard though... but it's disgusting to hear it anyways. Anyone that follow this same corrupted template will still end up doing nothing, until we know our value. If you like bring Jonathan&Igboho or Nnamdi Kanu&Osinbajo it won't change anything. In conclusion @fahdiga1, with this template kidnapping and all forms of crime is imminent. Buhari is not your or my problem. May God Almighty remove fear and make us resist any form of regression. Peace

It seems POI would have been a better option. This man GO lacks ideas in combating the security challenge ravaging the state.

At this rate a concerted effort at confronting this menace is required. We need to take the battle to their doorstep. Recruit informants across the state to work with a crack team of a combined security. Create another team to monitor the bushes in the day and night using helicopter and other gadgets.
This war must be total so invest heavily in security. If Edo is safe, businesses will thrive.

if your outside the country and your coming back keep your notice secret do not discuss it anyone not even ur brother when you arrive higher body guard employ Army and other security to protect you to avoid story your enemy starts from the house so deal with it from the root

Agree with the insider theory..

It's only an insider or close enough due to Covid testing restrictions who would know he was on the way to the airport.

This is barbaric. This is very sad. He's my friend Uncle, we have been praying for divine intervention since Sunday. The governor could not do anything even as prince is personal friend on the governor. This is getting too much

A household enemy lurking around masterminded this and executed him. This is clearly an inside job. Has nothing to do with Fulani herdsmen.

I Perceive a Hand of an insider aka Household Enemy in this matter

They knew he was travelling thst day and wanted to get him. It's very obvious they had information on him. It's not a random kidnap case.

This should be another thread entirely
Ifesinachi22:
Please advice me.

A man built a small flat for his small family of 3, sixty years later, his children and grand children all still live in the house, however due to excessive large population they built additional 4 floors above converting the house to a 4 floor building.

But note, the original plan for the house had a foundation meant for just 3 bedrooms. Now the house contains 60 persons.

The house had so many structural problems, the electricity panel originally designed for a capacity of 3 rooms now served 28 rooms and trips off too often due to overload. The bore hole originally designed to serve a family of 5 now serves almost 60 persons so in most cases water supply was short.

Because of the smallness of the space, the children are always fighting, food hardly would go round, even in cases were there is enough food, some children would prefer to hide it away from the rest, the family is factionalized into groups and they always quarrel and fight.

The mans older children have suddenly become a nuisance to the community due to poor education, they are under employed, they cannot live independent lives and are forced to live with their parents even in their middle age. They marry and bring their wives into the same house.

The man as head of the house is always confused, his good ideas never work because the entire fabric of his house from the family to the physical structure is in bad shape. Whenever there’s rainstorm the entire house quakes, as though it will fall.

The old man has a small business, but his goods are often stolen as his grown sons who often connive with strangers to steal his goods.

Now this man started so well sixty years ago, then he was seen as a giant among his peers, today he is a laughing stock in the village. His house is over filled with grown up kids who cannot live on their own, his electricity load cannot maintain steady light since the original panels are small, the water boreholes cannot serve his current household and his children gradually becoming a nuisance to community.

If you are asked to advice this man on the best way out of his troubles, be very sincere to yourself, how would you advice him?

1. Break the entire house and rebuild.(Restructuring)

2. Terminate the entire leadership of the house and bring in a totally new manager to set up new rules and build a new house. (Revolution)

3. Try to maintain the house as it is hoping that someday things will change, the electricity will work and the children will change(Democracy)

4. Break the entire house and rebuild the original 3 flats, every unit on its own

4. None of the above. Then tell us your own solution.

Please advice this troubled man.

Rubbish... thousands of Nigerians living abroad visit every year and return safely without being kidnapped. Just keep your itineraries secret and move with discretion and avoid showing off. Like Nigerians don't die abroad and how old are you by the way? Do you know how many Nigerians visit from that your UK daily, go to MMIA and see the volume of travel.

May his soul rest in perfect peace and condolences to his loved ones.

When you travel to Naija, never tell anyone your arrival date, and certainly don't announce your departure date to anyone.

Just tell everyone that "I'm coming", quietly disappear and call when you arrive back at your destination. Even if it involves changing your departure date sef, do am.

Hunters are learning to shoot without missing. Learn to fly without perching, so you always present a moving target.

Move in silence.
