@bolded , they can't charge him to court because there is nothing to charge him with. If not, they would have done so like before now.

Democrats are just grasping at straws because they know Trump is coming back in 2024, and his supporters are still around and not going anywhere soon. Take out Trump and it will be an easy ride for the Democrats in 2024 because Republicans won't find someone with a strong following than him and the Democrats knows this.

It's one of the reasons majority of the Republicans that supported the impeachment initially are now tracking back one by one. Because he's helping the Democrats to take out Trump would be detrimental to themselves

even if by any means, the senate trial did hold, Trump won't be removed because his removal needs to be voted in by 2/3 senate members and not by a simple majority. The Democrats won't get 2/3 members vote, So either way, it's still a waste of time

Any President can be impeached whether you currently hold office or not, for past, it would be in his record to have been impeached and you might end up forfeiting all benefits supposed to be accrued to ex-presidents. Let him still be making mouth in his post trump era and not be building bridges.

You can only impeach sitting president na. Can you go and impeach Obama now? Does that make sense to you? What section of the law is that written in the US constitution? Even the Democrats themselves are still at cross roads on how to proceed. They are just using the impeachment talk as a source of distraction from the real issues at hand in their country, like most government do.

All those news paper piece are opinion articles here and there, taking sides. This is one of those situations in law that the law becomes blind. I don't know the term that lawyers call it.

Even though Trump won't be convicted, (Because Democrats won't get the votes they need for that to happen) but assuming it eventually does, na supreme court the case go end. And if those ones should go by the letter of the law, it will be overturned based on lack of jurisdiction and technicalities, as per you can't remove something that is not there.
