Everybody knows their name is the correct usage in modern English. The "their" is called singular "their". We also have singular " they" when used to refer to 'everybody,' 'somebody,' etc. However, you are not wrong if you use "his or her," but grammarians are trying to remove the gender wahala. I read this in some grammar books. |

The first sentence is correct.. The second sentence sound strange. The second sentence should probably be "Everybody knows their names". |

Everyone knows their names is correct... Not everybody knows his or her names. Besides, his/her are mainly used by Nigerians compare to their foreign counterparts... |
