But in Nigeria, when you earn 50k per movie, you will have to do like at least 10 movies in a year to earn something reasonable.

Many of our male actors are barely managing to survive on the nonsense they pay them per movie. That is why you will see someone who started acting 2-3 years ago already has 300 movies to his name.

The reason for this is not far-fetched. Our movie industry used to be poorly funded. And still lacks a structure.

But thanks to new directors like Kunle Afolayan, banks and other industries are already getting involved in supporting Nigerian movies.
