Text: 2 Peter 3:1-10; Mathew 24:36-47.

Many have been saying that the Second coming of our Lord Jesus is not forthcoming because they have been hearing it since even before they were born but has not yet happened.
The Bible called people with this belief "scoffers". They just want to follow their own evil desires and dismiss whatever is connected to the Second coming of our Lord Jesus.

Are you a scoffer? Beware!(Mathew 24:42).

Why You Need To Beware

1.Since the day of Noah existed scoffers and their unbeliefs led to their destruction when God destroyed the world with flood.
2. God's Word doesn't go unfulfilled. His Honour and Integrity is in the manifestation of His Words. For example, we all know that God formed the heavens and the earth out of water and by water. By these waters also the world was destroyed
in the time of Noah. By the same Word, the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgement and destruction of the ungodly.
3. A day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like a day in the eyes of the Lord.
4. The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with us, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.(2 Peter 3:10)
5. Our Lord Jesus also affirmed His own Second coming (Mathew 24:36-44).
6. The day or hour like the days of Noah will come like a thief in the night. People will be eating, drinking, getting married, doing naming and all manner of activities when the Son of Man will come at an hour when we do not expect Him.
7. Only God knows the hour and the time. No one knows, not the angels, nor human, not even Jesus Himself knows when He is coming back.
8. "For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works"(Mathew 16:27). Similarly, "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice and shall come forth unto resurrection of life.
Stay wise, stay prepared, Christ is coming back.
