Gov. Umahi Sues For Peace Between Uzodimma & Sen. Okorocha

The southeast Governors' Forum has waded into the impasse ensuing between Governor Hope Uzodimma and the former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Igbere TV reports.

The Chairman of the Forum who is also the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi has already made contacts and assured that the parties to the dispute have agreed to call a truce. He further explained that the leaders of the Southeast were capable of settling their disputes internally instead of washing their linen in the public.

He called for calm among the supporters of the two political heavyweights to ensure a timely and amicable resolution of the disagreement within the shortest possible time.

The southeast Governors' Forum Chairman called on people of Imo State and the South East Zone to go about their normal businesses and shun provocative statements until normalcy is completely restored between the former Governor and his successor.

Even your so called Elder statesmen act this way. One will imagine, how will you people behave if you have a sovereign state. UK have given us a difficult task of maintaining this Animals and making them act in a civilized manner. God bless all strong leaders in Nigeria, especially Gowon for acting like a good leader when they are forced to act.

Ganduje and Kwankwaso had differences and political fight, but never did they start destroying each others property or arresting each other like common thief

So what is he fighting?

Although I believe, he was merely invited by the police and not arrested.

There is no peace that needs to be resolved. Okorocha used Imo state billions to setup up a University and a housing state and registered it in his family name, instead of the Imo state goverment. And he has using thugs to fight the past and current governors Ihedioha and Uzodinma respectively from recovering it after the recommendation of the state judicial panel.

this na political tussle for supremacy.
I no too know much.
but uzodima should know that he's not as politically relevant as Rochas nationally and he was also imposed on the people.
he should create friends instead of enemies cos as it stands now, he would need more than a miracle to win a second term.

Even with Umahi's problem with Elechi they never went this far to fight, he still continued Elechi's projects, same with Sullivan and Chimaroke

Gov Umahi isn't a good leader either. SouthEast is more divided under his Chairmanship than ever.
For record purpose, He and Gov Hope created their own Ohaneze group.
