There was a time when the most holy place in the temple of Jerusalem was not accessible to everyone. It was the earthly most holy place. Such holy places still exist in some churches whereby in order to gain access to such places there are requirements that a believer has to meet. E.g. abstaining from sexual activity for 7 days, fasting for 3 days, etc. Some of these doctrines are good training grounds for a believer but does have its limitations. It only deals with the outside and leaves the inside vulnerable.

Vulnerable to what?

For example boldness to witness to others about Christ. Here Satan turns up immediately with his accusations: Who are you who witnesses about Jesus? You who constantly sins!  You who are so full of hypocrisy and falsity!   Yes, this is the way he uses Gods own law against you, and this he can do as long as you are trying to find the reason for boldness in yourself and your own.

How do we win the battle?

By focusing on the reason for boldness that is written in the Word of God whereby both Satan and your own hearts condemnation have to retreat.

Heb. 10:19
Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus.

CONCLUSION

Let go into the presence of the Lord knowing that Christ death for us has made way for us INTO the most HOLY PLACE by the power of the blood he shed for us at Calvary. He is our HIGH PRIEST who rules over God’s house and has given us the permission and right into the presence of the MOST HIGH GOD. Our guilt has been sprinkled with Christ Blood to make us clean on the inside and outside.
