Here is the thing, I think China and Russia are only economic allies of Iran, but if it ever goes to war with Israel they will abandon Iran or at least not interfere, because they would have more to loose than to gain.

The real war in the middle east is actually between Iran and Saudi Arabia. The war is mainly a religious superpower war between the aforementioned countries. It's a war between two dominant Islamic sect(Shiite and Tsunni). This two Islamic super power are forever engaged in cold war using other Middle East country as a fighting ground, especially in the course of controlling the government of the Islamic nation. This struggle can be found in Syria, Iraq and Afganistan. USA and it's ally Isreal work with Saudi Arabia a more stable state to maintain peace in the middle east by ballancing the power between the two State. The peace in turn stabilizes oil production and distribution across the world, thereby checkmating Russia's Oil monopoly (Always trying to bring the west to their bended knees) causing Economic recession by disrupting oil supply in the Middle east through support for Iran against Saudi Arabia. This will increase OIL price and more money will flow into Russia and other OPEC nations economy thereby boosting its Economy at the detriment of Western countries and trading disharmony in the East for wealth transfer.
Originally, the war is a local religious war which always have effect on global oil price favouring Russia and OPEC(Saudi Arabia and Iran inclusive). USA have to come in and take a side to ballance the equation. So it's also referred to as the COLD WAR between USA and Russia for economic struggle and COLD war between Saudi Arabia and Iran(Historical religious importance and power)

We are talking of a county under decades of crippling sanctions, under sanctions, they built a self reliant country, they became one of the strongest nation in the region, if not for Big brother (US), no nation in the region can dare counter Iran.

Thing with you blacks is that you let religion cloud your sense of reasoning. You can't think properly when religion is mentioned, the reason you call Iran backward is because it's being ruled by Islamic clerics, not because they are backward in the real sense.

Scientifically, no nation in the region, except Israel and Turkey can match them, the Arabs even with all the support they are getting, still laggs behind.

The Islamic mullahs are dickheads, but they have done well in taking the nation to a whole new heights.
