Obigbo used to be in the old Aba province that later became part of Imo state. In 1976, Obigbo was carved out of Imo state and put in Rivers state then renamed "Oyigbo". Im not going to call the place an imposed name such as "Oyigbo". Its name is Obigbo and its people have always been Igbos.

This plank of stream of thought is one of the reasons Africans are looked upon with stark disdain. When did Rivers State become a land without Igbo? Majority of the people of Rivers State are indigenously Igbo. Obigbo remains Obigbo as such change to Oyigbo was never legislated or even decreed.
