Nigerians don’t know what is Coming, they are still ignorant — Mailafia

Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr Obadiah Mailafia, has said it will be unfortunate if Nigerians still cannot see the handwriting on the wall as insecurity continue to plague the country.

Obadiah in an interview with The Punch Newspaper on Thursday, once again, alleged that the ongoing security challenges facing the country is the aftermath of a well thought-out plan by certain individuals in the North, to take power away from the South.

He said many of the bandits currently troubling the country, were originally sponsored to ensure former President Goodluck Jonathan by all means, never retains his seat beyond 2015.

He said, “During the 2015 elections they brought in thousands of foreigners into this country, armed them because it was a case of if Goodluck Jonathan doesn’t surrender, there will be war. They were ready for civil war; they were not ready for peace.

“Of course, Jonathan handed over to them and then they turned their backs on the hoodlums and the hoodlums said ‘look, you brought us here and we are still here’.”

This isn’t the first time Mailafia made such weighty allegation against Northern powers, in the country.

Last year, in the height of the covid-19 pandemic and the scorch of months of lockdown, the Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress in the last election, also alleged without mentioning a name, that one of North’s Governors, is the sponsor of Boko Haram.

He said, “Some of us also have our intelligence networks. I have met with some of the bandits; we have met with some of their high commanders – one or two who have repented – they have sat down with us not once, not twice.

“They told us that one of the northern governors is the commander of Boko Haram in Nigeria. Boko Haram and the bandits are one and the same. They have a sophisticated network. During this lockdown their planes were moving up and down as if there was no lockdown.

“They were moving ammunition, moving money, and distributing them across different parts of the country.”

He also said Boko Haram had already infiltrated southern Nigeria, adding that their plan was to spark a second civil war.

The former CBN deputy governor, who holds a PhD from Oxford University in the United Kingdom, said he was not one to make spurious and unfounded allegations.

He added, “They are already in the South, in the rain forests of the South. They are everywhere. They told us that when they finish these rural kiIIings, they will move to phase two. Phase two is that they will go into urban cities, going from house to house kiIIing prominent people. I can tell you this is the game plan.

“By 2022, they want to start a civil war in Nigeria. Don’t joke with what I am saying I have a PhD from Oxford University. I am a central banker, we don’t talk nonsense . I have this from the highest authority, some of the commanders of Boko Haram,” he added.

Mailafia also said he was convinced that some foreign powers were behind the bandits.

“There are certain world powers that want to destroy our country. That is what I believe. There was a container load of weapons that were brought in from Turkey. Another time some were brought in from Iran. But nobody probed further and everything was swept under the carpet and that was the end of it,” he said.

True talk....I don't believe all though...but the way and manner the government just look away instead of probing deep to know where this weapons comes from makes me believe this insecurity thing is deeper than we think.

All tactics are in place, it's well planned and the mission to achieve their evil plan is been carried out already.

Obadiah Mailafia is simply saying what other concerned senior citizens have said of Nigeria under the Buhari regime.Nothing new but every sane & discerning Nigerian ought to have known this startling reality by now.

Watch how DSS will invite him for their usual shitty talks again while northern governors, Maj.Gen.Sheikh Ahmed Gumi and other northern advocates of the rampaging terrorists are left untouched.

Quite correct sir. "However, the Buharimaniacs are well maniacs. They are maniacal...attack dogs,..bull-terriers.They can no longer even engage in rational logical discussion about the president or his policies.

Buharimaniacs are of the conviction that Nigeria is now legitimately the property of the president. The rest of us are here simply by his grace & generosity.

It's hard to disbelieve this man.

Everything happening points in the direction of his outburst.

The South appears to be encircled.

Imagine how hard the govt came upon ESN and the swift in arresting the OPC members that dare arrest the alleged criminal warlord.

...bad things are happening in the north daily.

Bandits abduct 100 miners, kill 10 in Zamfara – Emir

https://dailypost.ng/2021/03/10/bandits-abduct-100-miners-kill-10-in-zamfara-emir/

So why are the security forces not containing this guys?

I pity the security forces, who are now trying to clean up the mess set by the evil politicians.

They have never been over stretched like this before.

This is the time for the SE governors to support ESN and manage them be setting guidelines.

For governor like Hope Uzodinma, the military cannot save you when they turn to you.

Use the case of Zamfara where the military has been, as a case study.

Are they not human beings? Nobody has monopoly of the use of AK47 or other sophisticated arms. The manufacturers are happy to sell to anyone. So, no problems. Igbo man does not run away from battles especially if you bring it to his compound. Harder they come, harder they fall. Let them bring it on. Egbe daba!

And how many times have you gone to Sambisa forest to help even if it's loading a gun for our soldiers there? Or you fight your own rebels hiding behind your keypads. Keypad warlord.

Herdsmen have been killing and maiming. How many times have you gone to put roadblocks and challenge them to a bout? Since you rely on your own powers.

Think next time before you jump on peoples mentions anyhow.

All these are well orchestrated. Than for the north to give up power in 2023, they will rather go to war. Train service to Niger republic, the infiltration of bandits to the south, the Islam inscription on the Nigerian army logo, the swift attack on OPC, ESN, and defence of the bandits with amnesty, cash rewards and not declaring them a terrorist group, only a daft idiot won't see the finger written on the wall.

How about restructure the country? They refused. But again, the south is never united. An attack on ESN for defending their land didn't call for a criticism from SS and SW, and vice versa. But if there is any war this time, that will be the end of Nigeria, and I support it that way. Let's all go our separate ways.

Even in the time of Israel, God assist the Israelites in winning wars when they took to fighting and using weapons to defend themselves and their Land. it got to a particular time in Psalms David worshipped God for teaching his hands how to war and teaching him well

And that's the problem with we modern day Christians, we love dwelling on the illusion thatGod gotta do everything for us while we relax. When we got tired of Sars attrocity and we took to the street that later got really violent and almost brought the Nation's economy to it's kneels. Ever since then when have you heard police illegally arresting and killing young Nigerians Did God had to help us take Sars from the street himself??

The better you watch YouTube videos on how to handle a gun, do some daily physical exercises to keep you fit the better for you. For someone like me make dem bring/start the war now infact let them start it now I'm not running no where

Where did you guys see in my comment that Nigeria should relax? Or have people not been fighting and trying to get to the root of this whole brouhaha to no avail?

Since we've done everything within our means and power to fight and it seems it's beyond us, that's is why I'm calling on God to help us. I don't know why you guys have a problem with me calling on my maker.

That civil war is Islamic jihad

I am not surprised the bandits and fulani herdsmen in the southern forests are part of the Islamic Boko Haram.

Same way i am not suprised turkey is the one supplying weapons to the Terrorists through Buhari.

2023 would mark a 100 years the Lausanne treaty was signed by turkey at the defeat of the Islamic caliphate of othoman empire (100 years ends every peace aggrement)

Erdogan is raising his jihadists armies that would subjugate the entire north Africa down to west Africa to middle east towards reviving the old Islamic caliphate

When we talked about islamization of buhari people laughed it wasn't possible

But they are dumb when Tanko a Sharia jihadist is spearheading the secular judiciary arm of government

We understand everything. Some weeks ago the Amotekun arrested some herdsmen and took them to the police in Oyo state. The police descended on amotekun by shooting their legs. The notorious Wakili was arrested by OPC. OPC were incarcerated but the infamous Wakili is being treated like a king. Some weeks ago some soldiers escorted some fulanis to some villages and flogged the villagers like mad. We know everything but we are powerless. in shasha the yoruba and the northers fought, the yoruba were arrested and treated badly but the hausa people are enjoying sympathy from the so-called government.
