They should first know themselves. A man who does not know who he is, what his goals are, what his boundaries are, and what’s important to him in a partner, is not ready for a relationship.

He should also understand what a relationship is, what commitment and compromise mean, reciprocity, expressions of love, responsibility, honesty, and integrity.

Also, relationships aren’t something you just have, they’re something you build, nurture, maintain, and if needed, repair. They are a responsibility, like your job. This applies to anyone, not just men.
