Foremost pro democracy movement in Nigeria, Democracy Without Borders (DWB) has cautioned security agencies in the country not to be distracted by the antics of attention seeking elements in the country.

The group made the statement in reaction to media reports that some dissident elements led by Asari Dokubo has declared Biafra government.

" we are confident in the versatility of the Nigerian security agencies and we trust in their judgement based on the available intelligence at their disposal"

Nothing is going to come out of the so called Biafra narrative except for the purpose of seeking attention. he said.

"If for anything, the declaration only reinstate our earlier alert that IPOB is truly in deep and irreparable disarray"

" when a bunch of unpatriotic elements unite to dupe, steal and mislead innocent people for selfish gains, and trust is lacking, this is the outcome" the statement read.

" We now have at hand two prominent elements known for their penchant for evil fighting for the carcass of the already dead Biafra"

Asari Dokubo and Nnamdi Kanu share many things in common, greed, criminality, selfishness, high-handedness and hatred for nigeria" they are both held to ransom by their own greed.

"so it's not something any true Nigerian should bother over, we trust our security agencies not to give them the attention they seek at all cost"


Rev Solomon Semaka, Executive director of the organization queried if , Asari Dokubo who resides in Benin republic with all his investments in that country willing to anex the republic to Biafra as well. When he led militants to destroy the nation's oil pipelines, was it also part of the Biafra dream? How about the fugitive who before the cookie crumbled called himself supreme leader of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu? is he not based in the United kindom where he recently fleeced the IPOB funds to the tune of two million US dollars?

"So where is the the Biafra in between all this? except of course to continue to exploit innocent citizens of funds and seek government attention.

" Our appeal to government is to remain focused on the more serious Issues rather than be distracted by antics of a few disgruntled elements whose marriage crashed on account distrust and greed"

"As nigerains, we know where we belong, we know what our needs are, we are committed to achieving that unity that some people so desperately want to sabotage"

The (DWB) executive director called on nigerians to offer moral support to security agencies especially the department of state security for the untiring roles they play in detecting and preventing internal threats within the country"
