God should help Nigeria, bandits and bokoharam has turned Nigeria army to lepers, they kill them at will, this thing is getting out of hand, we better start praying, if Nigeria army can't handle this criminals, then they will conquer the north and move to the south.

Wake up Nigerians, there is trouble in the land.

I have lost any feeling of sympathy for Nigerian soldiers since the lekki toll gate massacre, they are not any different from the bandits and terrorists they claim to be fighting. As far as I am concerned this is a case of one group of bandits killing another group of bandits. Good riddance

Your probably won't type this if you have a brother or father as a soldier. It's only in Nigeria i see and hear people brand everybody evil as a result of other people's bad deeds. Besides, one thing you don't understand about the military is that it completely runs by order. Absolute order!! When you sign the form, you sign to take EVERY single order from your superior. May God help us.

The same bandits who will be appeased, rehabilitated and released when apprehended.
Where is the deterrent that will make them to stop the mayhem?
Something is fundamentally wrong with Nigerian leaders and the way they think. lipsrsealed

At this rate, l wonder who will be left, by that 2023! shocked shocked
Do you know how many Soldiers and Officers have been killed this march alone ... and how many have deserted (I dont blame the Deserters though)?
If armed Soldiers are being killed like Mice on a daily basis, what hope for the common man?

And President Buhari sent his National Security Adviser to tell America that "Nigeria does not need their help t crush these terrorists"!
How did you come about such nonsense, Mr. President? angry angry
Did Niger Republic send you here to destroy Nigeria, before you go back to your country?
How did Nigeria elect a Spy from Niger Republic, as President?

3 Soldiers Killed In A Shootout With Bandits In Kabasa, Zamfara

How many bandits died in this shootout?

More often than otherwise, Nairaland main board's report on shootouts (not ambush) between military and bandits or terrorists, always number the military dead but not the other side’s deathS. The discrepancy leaves me wondering if bandits/terrorist are top marksmen compared to the military or if we are expected to take it as a given that military in the end did entirely dispose the enemy.

If it so happens that in these skirmishes, bandits and terrorists more often than not get the better of our military, as Niaraland main-board reporting often implies, the question automatically springs to my mind, ‘how is it that these relatively untrained bandits and terrorists that many claim are Nigerians (even Burati claimed this), can be better marksmen than another set of Nigerians in the army that are trained in the military’s firing ranges as well as abroad? Not to mention training in all sorts of contemporary and classic battle tactics.

Really? Even to shoot your own unarmed citizens in cold blood? Then in battle situation, you expect the same citizens to have empathy for you? That is seen only in unprofessional armies. Do you not know that civilians play vital roles in conflicts such as this? That is in terms of intelligence and information that could have saved the lives of many soldiers if the military built good relationship with them? Ambushes could be avoided. Civilians could even help stranded troops to melt into civilian population by hiding them when facing threats. But if the army is known to delight in brutalizing their own citizens, that's when the empathy vaporizes even when they are killed. How many countries do you see citizens not care that their soldiers are dying? The military has to really work on their relationship with the civilians or it could only get worse.

Every of what you said is valid. My point is, blame whoever gave that order. You dont know the consequences a soldier will face for refusing to take order. He had signed a form to take orders. That is my point.

I hope the army can INVADE the particular local government area where their colleagues were killed like chickens! That energy should not only be used at Obigbo, Orlu or the South south! Useless murderous clowns in uniforms!

There are bunch of stubborn goats in this country who hate the truth.

Until we recognise and stamp out these abuses both civilians and soldiers will suffer.

Since this is Nigeria where we carry pride on our head let everyone continue to suffer.
