gabazin080: Nothing spiritual about it. She needs a therapist. This is a psychological issue. Read the attached screenshot below

pocohantas: You agreed it could be psychological but disagree it could be spiritual. In this part of the world, don't let anyone or any level of education fools you that spirituality has not direct effects on our lives. Please note that I am not directly saying the girl is under spiritual influence. |

100 lashes of koboko given angrily and simultaneously with lectures on dangers of stealing will eliminate the spirit of stealing from her. It worked on my brother. It can work on her too. |

I think whilst we all think it's spiritual we should not forget it's a child thing - stealing. I did a measure of stealing and I know most of us do too growing up...the child needs talking too consistently and some reasonable chastisement plus prayers to help her stop. You'll knots cravings that triggers her action and so education on the need to defer her gratification is key and to be contented with what's provided. |

gabazin080:Notice one thing here. See the way all the female commenters are playing this down. Sympathising with the girl. I pray and wish foolish men here will ever learn. The first instinct of women here is to protect their gender here. The first instinct of some male hegoats is to attack their gender first! Learn the difference. If it was a young boy that has the habit of stealing, the same nice women will attack him mercilessly. This example here might be why the future may indeed be female. |

gabazin080: Nothing like spiritual there...the girl is simply kleptomaniac ( I.e the hurge to steal)...She might out grown from it and stop later....when I was little, a neighbour's daughter suffered from it. They took her to different churches and alfa but she didn't stop...he got to a point where she was bitten and nearly killed by mob. But along the line she stop totally.. |

the child has mastered the act at that age. for her to have the guts at first, couple with stealth and diligence with which she took the purse, remove the money and kept it back without you observing. mehn! their one follow blood coupled with some indulgence at Early age. the parents shouldn't lose hope since at 11, her developmental psychology is but fully shaped. the dad should be firm with punishment henceforth. some of us too dey pamper pikin at early age |

pocohantas: I never expected this kind of comment from a lady i respect so much in this forum. I must confess i am very disappointed. First, you ridiculed the guy by bolding the "pulse" of course i know that you knew the guy meant purse. So what was the need for all that? I have wrong assumption about you, you're not mature after all . Secondly, for commending the little girl gut for spending the guy's money blablabla to she has good taste...like are you being serious? You fall my hand! just fucckoff. |

My 13 year old Niece came to my place for the last Christmas and slim fit all the turkey meat she fried by herself. At first, i never interfered with her cooking because she knows how. I just wondered why she had to do that when she could have eaten to her satisfaction without me even noticing. It was when my friends came around i noticed adjustment has been made to the meat as i actually saw their sizes. So i think it's a stage thing that must be handled with care before it generates into something else. She felt so sorry when i confronted her and she apologized |

Take her to a church for deliverance from the spirit of theft. the theft spirit could also be an ancestral curse that needs to be broken. |

It is not normal for an 11yrs old girl to boldly steal money from someone's purse and boldly buy yoghurt and snacks with it; and be bold enough to be eating it at the shop, and as well boldly lie and deny stealing the money and boldly claim that the father gave her the money. Bro, she is boldly possessed. Take her to deliverance. That's my advice. |

Stealing is not just a habit its majorly a force controlled in the spirit realm. Therapists or rehabilitation centre cannot deal with such force. It is spirit versus spirit . |

Let me share my story, I hope the OP gets to see it At age 9, I was a very active child and loved spending extra time in church when I go for activities. This particular Saturday, we just finished practicing and as usual I stayed behind playing with my friends If you are a catholic, you can relate with the healing ministry group, these set of people pray and deliver people, at that time, the program was usually in the evenings. Out of curiosity, I went close to the meeting area when we heard shouts from the people been delivered, (we were just kids, what did we know! ) I stood at the entrance staring in amazement as the prayer warrior was cabashing and casting out demons, out! Out! He was screaming, I had no idea what he was calling out. I tell you guys, after that event, the spirit of stealing entered me, I STOLE anything I could lay my hands on, majorly money. I would search for the key to my parents safe and take anything I see, it was really that bad. So, yes, it might be spiritual I had to modify my story, was preparing for work when I was typing this No, I dont steal anymore, it left just as it came. Prayers?, probably, will never know but nobody scolded me, instead my parents showered me with love |

Tell your friend to take his daughter to prayer city MFM for proper deliverance. Its not her fault it has to do with her foundation. I Have seen many cases like this, even some of them will steal at the deliverance ground until God arrest them. |

Child abuse can make kids do certain unusual child-like things like constant stealing, being peeping-tom, have hyper-sexuality, etc. Africa is too reactionary towards things like this rather than actually figuring out how best to help such people. Most people who have excesses in their life are using that as a coping mechanism. Some, it is their way of reassuring themselves that they're still in charge or smart or intelligent. But this is mostly because people or someone in their life constantly told them they're not smart, or beat them or used their bodies without their consent for sexual pleasure. Eventually the child will stop stealing, but only if she gets real therapy or if she finds another way to cope. 1 Like |

PrinceMajestic: I swear. Na lack of light, causing boredom make me dey read through comments on here, vexing myself. There's no disputing that the majority of Nigerians lack simple sense, and that's why this country is dying. We want magical instant fix or get comfortable with the delusion that the world is ending; something even our great grand parents' generation believed. Make the world end na. Na naija go end first. If it's not from lack of work, because of praying for magical fix, it'll be from tribalism. Even if you're a Christian/Muslim, when has praying without actual work worked? Lazy bunch of people. That's why the holiest of them steal when they see chance, if people( "destiny helpers" ) aren't dashing them money or job/contract. If you can look into the personal life of that righteousness person, I can bet you na scam. He's looking for someone to tip him for "spreading word of God". Might be wrong o, but I'm sure I'm mostly right that's his inner purpose, whether he knows it or not. And that's the same with MOST of every other "holy" person. It's monetary gain deep down, not genuine love & care. Very few truly care. Make this people bring light abeg. 4 Likes |
