BLESSED IN GOD THE SON.

All our life and all our light are found in Him, outside of him we have nothing and apart from Him can attain to nothing. He is all our salvation. He is all our joy and our peace. We are blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus. Our approach then is to be Christ-centred. He is the only lesson we have to learn, the only Person we need to see. From Genesis to Revelation as we pore over the pages our heart's cry is to be 'We would see Jesus.' Our sole desire must be to draw our waters from the head-spring of the Fountain.Show me but the source and let me drink of Jesus, for the single theme of all the written Word is Christ. There is no question. THE WORD ETERNAL IS THE ONLY CONTENT OF THE WORD INSCRIBED.

Blessed be the God and Father of Lord Jesus Christ who hath blessed us with all SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS in heavenly places in Christsad Eph 1:3).

GENESIS 24: THE SON FORESHADOWED AND PREFIGURED. (CHRIST THE CENTER)

Genesis 24 is one of the most striking and beautiful foreshadows in the Old Testament! Isaac the beloved son of the father in chapter 22, after he had been virtually offered up in sacrifice and thus, his typical resurrection from the dead (referred to in Heb 11:19); that his father Abraham, sent forth his faithful servant to secure a suitable wife for his son. Now how this foreshadows and sets forth the mission of the Holy Spirit (after the death and resurrection of the Son), who is now in the world, gathering out of it the bride of the Lamb is evident in the New Testament. The nameless servant's (of Abraham) journey afar in order to carry out his master's will and bring Rebecca to his master's son, the choice of and preparation of Rebecca for her Lord, to whom she willfully submits (symbolized by the veil: Gen. 24:65), the entire pointing to the Son of this "nameless" Servant, how all so Wonderful! Why? The Christ, whom this foreshadows! (Cf: Jn. 5:39)

Everything in the chapter is beautiful and Isaac is the CENTER and OBJECT of it all. Abraham loved him and gave him all that he had ( Gen 24:36), so also it is written of God's beloved Son:

"The Father loveth the Son and hath given all things into his hands" (John 3:35).

The faithful servant sought nothing for himself, nor spoke of himself - all he did was for Isaac; and it is said of the Holy Spirit:

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come .... he shall not speak of himself.... he shall glorify me; for he shall receive of mine and shall show it unto you: All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I that he shall take of mine, and shall show unto you" (John 16:13-15).

Rebecca though had not seen Isaac, was attracted to him based on the testimony of the faithful servant from Isaac to her, and yes, of the christian it is said:

"Jesus Christ whom having not seen, ye love, in whom, though now ye see him not , yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory (1Peter 1:cool.

Abraham's purpose, the servant's labour, Rebecca's love, were all for Isaac the son, so also the Father's purpose, the Holy Spirit's labour and the love of the church (the bride) are all for the SON. Oh that we may see the centrality of the BELOVED SON!

It is a great day in the spiritual history of a christian when he or she wakes up to the fact that all the Father's thoughts and purposes have Christ as The One and Worthy Object, and that the chief labour of the Holy Spirit is to shed His love abroad in our hearts (Rom 5:5). The result is that, nothing will satisfy the love thus awakened but union with the beloved, will be the all absorbing object of the heart. In this way are we drawn in our affections away from the world and its vanities, on unto (on-until-onto) Christ.

If any man love not the Lord Jesus, let him be Anathema, Maranatha (1Cor 16:22).

Even so COME LORD JESUS.

WHAT DOES JESUS MEAN BY "FRUIT BEARING"?

The Christian Life is A Spiritual Life! It means that the Christian Lives His Life in Christ! That is by the Rules/Law of Christ!

He (The Christian) is not lawless but Under The Law of Christ! Christ has His Law- The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ!

The sphere of the Christian's life is in God (Christ), it is a heavenly life.

Therefore everything must have living/heavenly/spiritual meanings for such a life!

For instance:

"...that ye may bear fruits..." Must have a heavenly meaning! What fruit is Christ speaking of? What Nature of fruit is heavenly in its meaning and scope?

Material fruits: money? more members in church? More church branches? Better job? Increased business deals? New children? And the likes...?

If these were the fruits, Christ meant, then, NO ONE NEEDS TO ABIDE IN HIM to BEAR THOSE KINDS OF FRUITS! NO ONE AT ALL!!!

Furthermore! Those fall very short of heavenly Life fruits! Why? The heavenly/spiritual life is eternal, not transient, not fading, not passing, not temporal AND MAY NOT BE LIVED BY NATURAL MEANS/ENERGIES!

So, what kind of fruit is Christ speaking of? Scripture they say and rightly so, MUST INTERPRET SCRIPTURE! So, what do other scriptures say concerning fruit bearing?

Galatians 5:22-25 (KJV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Now those fruits NO ONE SOEVER CAN BEAR WITHOUT CHRIST!

If one does not Abide in Christ they CANNOT bear those fruits! More so, those fruits are heavenly of the heavenly life! They are Spiritual, thus called the fruits of the Spirit!

They are eternal! Not transient, not fading, not passing and cannot be lived out by any Natural means or energies! It has to be STRICTLY THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST bringing forth in Increasing and abounding measures (folds) such FRUITS even in the most demon-fested places, time, times and age(s).

I believe you missed the message that was contained in the very same context of John 15 vs 1 - 11. undecided

1. First, Jesus Christ never taught of what you refer to as "fruit of Spirit" - that doctrine belongs to Paul instead. The problem with what you have on that list is that only the person impacted can truly honestly tell if any of what is on that list is present or not in his/her life. Mr. A. cannot accurately judge Mr. B by any of what is listed in that list of Paul's.

2. Instead, Jesus Christ taught His followers that "...by their fruits" they can recognize those who belong to Him from those who do not. Now, Jesus Christ did not directly tell us what the fruits are but He gave us the answer in other places. He explained that those who are His friends, who belong to Him and love Him arr those who do as He tells them to - john 15 vs 14 Those who love Jesus Christ are those who submit to and obey His teachings and comandments/rules, who become Sons of God - John 14 vs 20 - 25. . undecided

3. So the fruits that those who belong to Jesus Christ bear are fruits of obedience and this of the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. Whereas, those who do not belong to Him - the false prophets, sinners, false teachers and enemies of Jesus- are those who refuse to obey His Truth, they bear fruits of disobedience aka sin. undecided

4. Now back to John 15 vs 7 - 11, the ultimate goal of everyone who follows Jesus Christ is to become like Jesus Christ and Jesus tells us that those who continue in submission and obedience will end up doing the Will of the Father, just as He did, and more. We are told that Jesus Christ went about doing good works - righteousness when He was on earth and we, His followers will also do good works, the ultimate fruit of our obedience by which we will all be judged in the end - Matthew 25 vs 31 - 46. undecided
