Dear all,
I feel obliged to inform u of a nasty experience my family had yesterday so that we might all be more security alert even though we know God is our ultimate protector.

A domestic help who gave her name as Victoria Johnson [img][/img]was enmployed by my wife last Monday April 11, 2011. My audit instinct made me uncomfortable and my wife also confirmed she was not exactly the kind of what we bargained for. She was left at home for us to watch her for a few days before concluding.

When the children came back from school, they placed a call to their mother alerting that the main door was left open and on a close examination, the Master BR door was tampered with.

All madam jewellery gone with other items worth hundreds of thousand. It is unimaginable that a girl of abt 21yrs of age could break the door as done. She definitely had support of at least a man.

I succeeded in collecting her registration form from the agent that introduced her. The so called guarantors have refused to speak to me on phone but would rather pick my calls for my credit to go wasted.

I have informed the police and together, we are obtaining infos that would lead to apprehending members of the syndicate

Victoria is at large. She's from Ogoni land in Rivers State. I'll appreciate if u take time to View picture so that u don't fall a victim. I'll also appreciate any info that can be of help.

God bless.

Why should you leave a stranger in your home before verifying her character?

Have you gone to report this to the police? Even though this option is perfunctory it should still be done.

How exactly do you verify a potential housemaid's character . . by observation or references?? I laugh at you.

God help us all in that country.

All men (in any country) will commit fraud where's there's lack of basic necessities of life despite being in a land flowing with money.

Na wao.

@OP,when u say agent,do u mean real organized and recognized company or u meant man know man?

If its a real company, the agent shld be liable for every loss. Its on agreement on paper.

Did u bother calling and atleast meeting with the so-called guarantors before now or this is your first interaction with them?

On a brighter side,Thank God she left with just material stuffs.Ndu ka aku.

Please, pity her.
It is the state of poverty in Nigeria that has caused all these.
See the fine girl.
As long as it is not a matter of life and death. . . material things can always be replaced.

Hopefully, she will mend her ways before she ends up as the ring leader of one armed gang in Nigeria over there.

What a pity.

Pity her for what? She is a common thief. If she was hungry then she should have stoen a cup of rice. This is just plain wickedness and greed

Can't you see she is just a child?
If it were yours, I am sure you would be singing a different tune.

She was left at home for us to watch her for a few days before concluding.

A troubled child is all I can see here.
Something problematic is definitely going sooooo wrong in her life.
This girl or young woman has learned to grow up around a lot of insecurity and unmet needs.
The fate of MANY young girls in Nigeria too.
If she needs watching. . . then she has certainly transitioned into the 'juvvy' delinquency system of anti-social derelicts in Nigeria. Her life can only get worse from this poing onwards.
Pity!

Behold! Someone's almighty 'fruit of the womb'!
