jcross19:Here's a kicker... even realized that in many of His Psalms, David is read asking God to destroy His enemies? Well, if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you would cringe when you come up against any line asking God to inflict harm on your enemies since according to Jesus Christ, you are not allowed to pray against your enemies but instead to love them. About Jesus Christ singing a hymn with His disciples, why not! We don't know the words of the hymn or the lyrics in order to claim it had something to do with David to begin with. What we do know however is that He never gave them a command instructing them to sing Hymns as a way of honoring God. Here's is what Jesus Christ said to the people of His time as far as the praising of His person

Kobojunkie:Almost always disputing others. The new life in Christ is not just about following commands like in a military zone or like a robot. It is a relationship - a reverent relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, with the Godhead, of which I doubt you have. It is "worth ship". The Lord is worthy of our praise and adoration. David sang and danced before the Lord almost naked and his wife, Michal, despised him in her heart. You may know what happened to her afterwards. Jesus sang hymns with his disciples (Matt. 26:30). He left us an example that we should follow his steps. We are told in scriptures to praise the Lord, to rejoice always, and how do we that? Is it with a straight face, sealed lips and motionless body? The angels and other beings in heaven praise and worship God. Several instances are there also in the old testament beside the Psalms and before the time of David, where people praised the Lord. 'And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel' - 1 Chronicles 16:4 'For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.' - Nehemiah 12:46 'And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.' - Revelation 19:5-7 I wonder the gospel you are following, maybe it is "another gospel" (2 Cor. 11:4, Gal. 1:6-24) because you usually hit against the epistle of Paul as if he was not a disciple (Apostle) of Jesus Christ as Peter, James and John were, who also wrote epistles admonishing us to honour, praise, worship and glorify God. It may well be said that some of these 'gospel songs' are not inspired by the Spirit of God and do not really honour God in truth and in spirit, but it doesn't rule out the fact that we are admonished, even commanded to thank, praise, honour and worship God. |

franklytrue:Why do refuse to read what is posted so you can go on and on saying nothing in the end. Jesus Christ didn't call you to accept the doctrines and traditions that others follow. Instead, you are called to accept(trust) and obey the teachings/commandments of Jesus Christ regardless of what everyone else does. Jesus Christ never gave you any commandments regarding the singing of or dancing to songs, so as far as His commandments are concerned, you singing and dancing are not acts of obedience and so should not be construed as such. What that means is You can dance and sing in whatever way you want and to whatever songs you like too. This won't and doesn't impact your relationship with God. What impacts your relationship is your obedience and this of the commandments He has given you . |

Kobojunkie: 'And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.' - Luke 17:15-18 So we are also not commanded to give glory to God, to thank, praise and worship Him? Disobedience on your part? I would ask only ask you one more time this question I have asked you a while ago which you keep refusing to answer: Who is Jesus Christ to you? If you cannot answer that, it only shows how much of a deceiver you are, claiming to obey the commandments of Jesus Christ who you do not know. It is of such people the Lord will tell on that day: depart from Me, I know you not. |

This message suppose to be a private admonition to his Team Leader, who called him aside and told him that, he is too big for that level. Secondly, it’s a big stretch and a big assumption to categorize 99% of a group. 1 Like |

we can't blame ekiye for the attitude of naija gospel artists, its their fans who are to blame, we celebrate mediocrity in our artists, only very few put in the time to hone their skills, the rest just copy and remix old classics. Buy one scrappy jeep and you be arrived, I don't listen to their trash except songs done 20+ years ago. People like Percy Paul, voice of the cross, bro okwey, lorine okotie and the likes, these new pips copying CCM styles are chaff, I d rather listen to POP than CCM. |

Mannnez: Ebenezer has been in the business for over 40+ years he ain't in that class, he was a successful singer before he joined gospel. Sinach is riding on the wings of her elder brother, its not talent just privilege, same thing with bassey. Tell me after that major crappy hit by basset has he released any credible song? If whiz kid were doing gospel, he d beat basset and sinach together. |
