USA isn't that multi-ethnic.
Their citizenship laws make you American if you deserve it. No amount of years I spend in the North qualifies me to be Hausa or a Northerner.

They have less than a dozen indigenous ethnic societies in America- American Indian, Hispanic, Black American,.. In Nigeria, we have over 300 distinct ethnic units backed in one country.

All Americans speak English Language. Even in the Northern Nigeria we have over 200 languages.

In America, no one cares which state you come from. One can move from Iowa to California and hold a political post and no body will question your ethnicity or Nationality.

Even though desirable in Nigeria, there is little basis for comparison.
