A dead body of a day old baby has been recovered by the Lagos State Police command around the Ayinke Hospital, along Airport Road in the Ikeja area of the state.

Muyiwa Adejobi, who is the spokesperson for the command said in a statement that the police retrieved a dead body on Saturday after they got a phone call security department of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.

It was also revealed that the dead baby could possibly have been deserted by the mother.

He said " The police, having founded the dead body of a baby, made a call to the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit that took the dead body. The baby was said to have been deserted by the mother and must have been opened to different kinds of risks that resulted to his demise.
