Re: Jonathan Takes Early Lead by Nobody: 5:58pm On Apr 16, 2011
At the end of this process let no one waste our time with court litigations or protest. The loosing candidates should be grown up enough to concede defeat to the winner.

I am not a fan of Jonathan but the process so far has been smooth and this is what matters.

The opposition need to go back to the drawing board and start planning from now for the next election in 4yrs time not waiting to go into crazy alliances on the eve of election.

I agree I dont think in the SW it was ever about everyone vote for ACN at all level. but govs sen reps were mainly voted for because PDP in the SW was SOOOO terrible.

I never minded GEJ as president and ACN govs senators etc

GEJ is getting bloodied in Bauchi and Bornu states tho. Some areas of Adamawa are tight, but Benue is in the kitty.

if he wins Adamawa, Benue, share the vote in Kaduna, sweep southwest, then the election is over.

He will get 99% of the vote in SE and SS.

even if the election enter run-off better.

Buhari will now see what they call throwing kitchen sink in politics. We will remind Nigerians of his record.

I have always said, whatever the results, Nigerians will have to live with it. I sure hope that who does finaly gets in, works for the people.

The important thing in all this is that the peoples choice takes the day

Dude check that again, that is Buhari = 7632  GEJ= 102

This is becoming a North Vs South election.

I still expect GEJ to win the most states though.

Lol!
CPC people are playing their usual tricks of telling lies and publishing false results. They are already raising serious suspicions on INEC's facebook page.
Imagine almajiri's trying to rig! grin grin grin
Re: Jonathan Takes Early Lead by johnie: 6:46pm On Apr 16, 2011
Beaf, don't be surprised if the results show a north-south divide at the end of the day.

Beaf, don't be surprised if the results show a north-south divide at the end of the day.

I don't doubt they will, though GEJ's results will have quite a healthy spread. Buhari never even bothered to campaign to any sensible degree in the South. It has always been about "born to rule" vs the rest of the country. Yep, this election is a solid test of sectional bigotry vs national strength.
Re: Jonathan Takes Early Lead by johnie: 6:59pm On Apr 16, 2011
I agree it is a BIG test but I pray we pass it.
Re: Jonathan Takes Early Lead by blacksta(m): 7:00pm On Apr 16, 2011
to close to call

The 11 state in the north account for 25m voters between them. Double the number of Kano+Kaduna+Katsina
Re: Jonathan Takes Early Lead by blacksta(m): 7:01pm On Apr 16, 2011
The entire southwest has 14.3m voters
Re: Jonathan Takes Early Lead by johnie: 7:02pm On Apr 16, 2011
If GEJ wins without a run-off, it will further underscore the importance of having parties with a national outlook.

Hopefully, that should strenghten our democracy.
