As Nigerians trooped out to participate in the presidential election Saturday, a traditional ruler, the Onijoun of Ijoun; Oba Jimoh Olubo in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State was killed by unknown assailants.

The traditional ruler was said to have been killed by the gunmen at about 8.am this morning at a popular hotel in Igbogila.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the killing but added that the police was yet to ascertain whether it was political or not.
