liquid7: They thought we can be overlooked. Igbos gave GEJ both SE and SW, a clear victory. Ensured he got decent votes in the core North to meet the 25% requirement. All those Odeyorubas should go and weep. ACN ko, Tinubu ni. |

~Bluetooth: In the poll where Tinubu voted ACN won. In what way was he helping Jonathan? PU 24/11/03/047 Tinubu ’s Polling Unit, Lagos ACN-166 ADC-3 CPC-27 FRESH-4 NCP-1 PDP-140 The truth remains that the votes GEJ got in the SW were Igbo votes. |

sbeezy8: And Fasola will win? Keep dreaming. After Jonathan, North and then Igbo. The cake must go round. PDP is the leader. Fasola and Tinubu and ACN have no place in national politics |

I always say that there are too many Igbos. Every Igbo man produces at least 4 or 5 children. |

This newfound igbo electoral strength powered by unity is a new introduction that has changed political landscape of nigeria. Northerners will no longer threaten igbos with their unfounded population number. This election has exposed them. |

Re: Yorubas Did Not Vote For GEJ, Igbos Did by pluto04(m): 7:19pm On Apr 17, 2011 |
Majority of the votes for GEJ in the SW came from the Igbos living there, Do they write name and tribe of voters on ballot papers now? only a few Yorubas voted, others stayed at home and didn't bother to vote, because they don't have their own running for President. I guess all the igbos staying in Yorubaland voted as well. and The poster knows this for a fact. Silly thread from a bigot! |

You guys must be so much in love with Yoruba. I can't count how many of these silly threads have appeared in the politics section within the last one hour. Obiagu1: The same ticket that won in almost Yoruba state and answerable to one Ota farmer. The last time I checked, this ticket was helped to victory also in the South east by the overwhelmingly large population of yorubas living in the South East (95% of South East population is yoruba). So what is your point? At the end of the day it is not about the tribal affiliation of the man at the centre but how how he affects the living standard of the general populace. |

Re: Yorubas Did Not Vote For GEJ, Igbos Did by pluto04(m): 9:22pm On Apr 17, 2011 |
henry101: It means that for every 100 people you meet in any of the 5 South East states, 95 will be Yoruba. Infact they have integrated so much that they all speak fluent igbo and you wont know that they are Yoruba unless they told you. This fact shocked Ken Nnamani when he was the Senate president so much that he insisted that ethnicity should not be included in the last census form. In fact, the current igbo governors are performing, that's why they have not been replaced by Yoruba governors. By 2015, all the political office holders will be replaced with Yorubas. Alj Uche: How are you Alhaji? |

It is really sad that Yorubas never vote non-Yorubas. The figures are alarming! So, after voting in their reps last week, they basically went home. Chei! It is well. I'm happy that other people are seeing what I've been saying here about Yoruba. |
