Nigeria isn't even a military power per say, reason am saying this is because most historical conflicts have been within the African region...

Boko Haram is the first test even tho it is localized..

ISWAP is gonna be the major test, how? Because its bringing with it a mesh of multifaceted operations from foreign land..

Isis consisted of military personnel, intelligence personnel and hardcore terrorist groups who had sympathy towards the Islamic agenda.

Their experience all came together to form a deadly force that it required the intervention of two super powers USA and Russia with support from israel and other regional powers.( Tho some might wipe up the theory that it's a CIA mossad collaboration, which is very unlikely)

Despite ISIS have be disintegrated they haven't been eliminated... now they are in Africa Mozambique, Angola and some east African nation rebuilding.

My point is this forming a new nation would be counter productive now because the nation as a whole is on the path of the terrorist groups.

Meaning that the new nation would be used as a pawn because assuming their is a split of North and South, North could easily create a migratory path for terrorist groups heading south.(This is a normal practice with nation's military and intelligence agencies)

Turkey allowed it's border towns as routes for ISIS because ISIS were fighting the kurds in northern Syria making it a win win for them( you don't set your eyes on us and you still get to take out my enemy who is your enemy)

Sudan was used as a major migratory path for terrorist heading to Syria because it showed an indirect support, even tho they publicly denounced it.

Nigeria as a whole is within the sphere of all major terrorist group.. we need to eliminate then stabilize before negotiating a split.

Fighter jet has ejection sit. When the plane is in trouble. The pilot can eject before the jet crashes.

Why can’t we buy modern aircraft for god sake, there are new 5th generation aircraft we can buy and train our air force to use. In today’s war, without modern AirPower, you are just wasting the lives of your men.

Well maybe, but I doubt if the Insurgents now have SAM's ( Surface to Air Missiles) or Heat seeking Stingers in their Arsenals. Because it virtually impossible to shoot down a very fast moving fighter jets much less at their very high cruising altitude.


But then, in my country, everything is possible.
