Our Client who is in the Hospitality industry is recruiting the following role.

JOB TITLE: Chef
LOCATION: Surulere
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cook guests' orders according to their preferences.
- Employ food safety best practices and make sure that all kitchen staff members do the same
- Acts with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are knives and high-temperature surfaces
- Experiments to come up with new specials to attract customers.
- Coaches members of the kitchen staff, so they perform at their best
- Determine how much food to order and maintain an appropriate supply of resources.
- Manage inventory.
- Keep up with trends in cooking and the restaurant business to ensure that guests have a positive experience.
- Work quickly and accurately during busy periods, such as weekend and evening.
- Occasionally takes on extra duties.
- Take direction and work with the restaurant's administrative team.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven work experience of at least three years as a Chef.
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)
- Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
- Leadership skills
- Ability to remain calm and undertake multiple tasks
- Excellent time management abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
- Culinary school diploma preferred
