Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen are currently attacking Ngbo community, close to Otunyi in Ebonyi state.

SaharaReporters gathered that the gunmen stormed the community around 6:30am, shooting sporadically.

The attack is coming few days after suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded four communities of Egedege, Umuhuali, Obegu and Amezu in Ishielu Local Government Area of the state, killing over 30 people.

REPORT reaching Vanguard revealed that Fulani herdsmen in the early hours on Monday attacked a village in Ngbo community of Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

It was gathered that many have allegedly lost their lives following the development as houses of innocent indigenes of the area have been burnt down by the rampaging herdsmen in the area.

Ebonyi State Government had, on Wednesday, last week, put modalities in place for the setting up of 1,000 vigilante groups across the state.

The attack, which has been described as unprecedented, affected Ebele village in Umuogodoakpa Community as some victims of the incident are presently taking shelter in the homes of some stakeholders.

Recall that herdsmen had attacked four communities in Ishielu Local Government Area where over 25 innocent rural dwellers were massacred in cold blood.

As at the time of filing this report, no suspect has been arrested or paraded by the Ebonyi State Police Command in connection with the killing.

Gradually, this is becoming one too many... The herdsmen have an agenda, the Hausa community should stay vigilant because the next line of action is for the herdsmen to kill more hausas in Ebonyi while tagging it reprisal.

There is obviously a relationship damage between the Fulanis and the Hausas, these reprisal attacks from the herdsmen disguising as the SE is meant to mend that relationship..

The attacks on Ebonyi is meant to discredit Umahi aswell under APC..

When I was saying it then,the way Umahi was bringing this fulanis and even building mosques for them, I said few years from now,this State will be on fire ,fulanis will start over running them.
