I don't understand, thought company tax is under purview of firs, while paye is under state irs, so how come the state is the one seeking for the company tax?

I'm also wondering the same except the Kano State government is trying to tell us that GTBank did not remit PAYE for the period 2014 - 2019 totalling about #1 billion!

But, still the first action we will take is to still request for this documents. It is based on them that we will come with actual figure of the liability due to the KIRS.

You don't know how much they owe yet you're sealing them off?

Gtbank does not usually pay bribed to officials like other banks do. It's likely that's why this is happening

Kano government is very stupid, GTB does not remit taxes to the state but Federal Government - FIRS. Even the court is a kangaroo court. Shame
