While Afe Babalola (SAN) is a mentor I respect a lot, I humbly disagree with his views on this.

If any of you have been privileged to see the volume of paperwork at the Supreme Court, you will rather clamour that the retirement age is reduced to 60.

The stress is much and we need fresh blood and younger minds to hold sway. How in God's name do we expect a 75 years old man to digested paperwork of approximately 1k -3k pages from each side. At times, each brief is over 2k pages each, not to mention the ancillary applications. In as much as we need the experience of the older minds, we need fresh blood.

Old age reduces speed.
