The President of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Saad Abubakar, on Monday, told the Muslims to commence Ramadan fasting. Ever since the announcement was made, some Muslim have been offline from social media, fasting and praying for the country. They have also indulged in acts of charity to benefit maximally.

Not long ago, a Nigerian man known as Abdulbaki Jari took to his verified Twitter account and revealed that the Kano Hisbah command arrested three males and eight females Muslims. The Nigerian journalists stated that the security operative arrested the Muslims for not fasting and eating in the public.

Abdulbaki Jari further stated that the Kano Hisbah commander, Dr Aliyu Musa Kibya, said they are investigating the case.
