NEWSSoutheast Deployment of military may lead to Nigeria’s break up – OhanaezePublished on April 18, 2021By Emmanuel Uzodinma

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, on Sunday, cautioned the Federal Government against any deployment of military to the South-East.

It warned that such action could lead to Nigeria’s break up.

Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Secretary General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, gave the caution in a statement he made available to DAILY POST.

He said the “Southeast has remained the nation’s safest place for foreign and local investments. What is happening now is not strange as the UK Ambassador announced in his earlier warnings that Northern bandits were sponsored to the South, possibly to wreak havoc and tensions in the region.

“Our belief and suspicions were reinforced through evidences of serial attacks and violence perpetrated in our zone by ‘unknown gunmen’, a few weeks after UK’s warnings of exodus of Northern bandits heading towards South, with provocative agenda to inflict crisis, anarchy and promotion of civil disturbances, especially in the peaceful Southeast and South-South for political reasons.”

He called on President Muhammadu Buhari “to resist the temptation of military deployment to the South-East as the consequences might be disastrous and a preparatory ground for unending guerrilla activities or another avoidable war.

“Ndigbo has implicit confidence on ESN and Ebubeagu for self defense.

“Military must focus on the insurgency in the North and refuse to fight at all fronts at the same time. Ndigbo are emergency experts and any infiltration in the process of Igbo defensive mechanism might spell doom for Nigeria.

“Ndigbo don’t need military assistance now, except there are high level manipulations to destabilize and destroy our region for political purposes and deny Ndigbo presidency in 2023.”

The south east, the most peaceful region in the country has been flooded with military build up as if there is something they want to do which we don't know of.

This military build up has led to several unnecessary confrontation and clashes with innocent civilians going about their peaceful activities. Every kilometer in the region is manned by jobless military people who are openly collecting monies from motorists without any iota of Shame.

The mind of the people of the south east has since left Nigeria, nobody apart from the political leaders from the south east believes in Nigeria. They all trust and believe Nnamdi Kanu and Biafra.

The South East is not the most peaceful region. A region were thousands of prisoners were set free is not the most peaceful region.

I even want this country to divide or be restructured. I'm tired of Igbo IPOB members and Fulani heardsmen shit.

Wow! Just wow!
Ohanaeze are now realising that they were used against their own for 2023 sake hence now in support of ESN.They now understand the fulani game..a bit late but not too late.
The handwriting on the wall is now bolder..S/E can never be allowed to get hold of presidency in Nigeria. So the earlier they wake up from this 2023 fantasy and join the call for secession, the better for them.
In all,I'm glad sense is falling upon them one way or the other recently. The support for ESN is importantly a basic step.No wonder no S/E governor has outrightly condemned the formation of ESN except the fulani jihad spy in Imo state who was installed there but that one na small case..
Meanwhile...zombies in disappointment now

This is immature military analysis. The NA has enough men to man the SE and the NE. If they are experiencing a shortfall in manpower, they will simply increase intakes they recruit.

You are so funny, if they have enough skilled manpower, why have they not routed boko haram out of the north. Is it rocket science to flush out insurgency

Southies, the real enemy is the North. Winter is here. Make una realise this en masse. Buhari is the Night King and has no regard for southern folks. He only sympathizes with his fulani terrorist breed.

Will lead to more destruction of the East, violence and war in the East might not mean end of Nigeria... remember the last Biafra war, most of the destruction and casualties were of the East. Biafra is only for Easterners, others do not care. Everywhere in history, if you want to cecede forcefully, prepare for war, the other option is referendum. No president will sit down and watch another person wreak havoc on installation, killing people, and want to force their will on others without shooting back. No president.

Gradually Ọhaneze is returning to default settings. At least there's now a synergy to understand the handwriting on the wall by the fulani oligarchy against ndị Igbo.

Meanwhile, there's nothing like Ebube agụ in the East, we have not seen them, they only exist on media pages.

Its either ESN or nothing! We the Eastern youths are never part and will never be part of any Ebube nkịta rubbish that is politically motivated
