LordReed:

So the bible is not inerrant? And inspiration by god does not imply inerrancy?

Be calming down, you are getting too emotional. LMFAO! Use some of that freewill you say you possess. LMAO!

You seem to have a different dictionary altogether when it comes to christian concepts. The Bible is inerrant in the fact that the things written there are true, applicable and valid. It's not referring to spelling and grammar and all these jokes you and your ilk present.

How can something be inerrant if it contains mistakes that may fundamentally alter the meaning of the text? And especially where you can't confirm the original meaning or text (leaving aside the accuracy of what was written with regards to events).

Like where? What mistakes fundamentally alters the Bible? You surely don't think a verse cancels out a whole book, right? Those chemicals need to stay in place.

David Killed Goliath and later Elhanan killed Goliath's brother Sir! smiley

"And war broke out again with the Phi·lisʹtines at Gob, and El·haʹnan the son of Jaʹa·re-orʹe·gim the Bethʹle·hem·ite struck down Go·liʹath the Gitʹtite, whose spear had a shaft like the beam of loom workers" 2Samuel 21:19

"And there was war again with the Phi·lisʹtines, and El·haʹnan the son of Jaʹir struck down Lahʹmi the brother of Go·liʹath the Gitʹtite, whose spear had a shaft like the beam of loom workers." 1Chronicles 20:5

We really appreciate your interest in considering our book (Bible) we are Jehovah's Witnesses!

May you have PEACE! smiley

It's a pity that when Considering our book (Bible) many false religions are out there to degrade our heritage {Isaiah 54:17} but Jesus our Master, Lord and King has cleared it all when he said "Wisdom is justified by her Children" Luke 7:35

I intentionally avoided this particular thread since yesterday expecting any of these misinformed Churchgoers to stand up for what they are claiming but i beleive by now all you ATHEISTS can see that they are not true Christians, for if they are why can't any of them despite all their mouthing on Nairaland solve the riddle with the scriptures? Jesus said "you will know the truth and the truth will set you free" John 8:32

Well i'm sure the ATHEISTS can see that God's word doesn't contradict itself it's the incompetence of misinformed Churchgoers that's giving atheists the impetus to raise their tongue against Our God JEHOVAH, but as His WITNESSES we will continue to defend His word anytime, anyday, anywhere and before anybody! Isaiah 43:10-12

May you all have PEACE! smiley
