HAS HOPE UZODINMA RESIGNED?

By Collins Opurozor

Last night, the people of Orji in Imo State came under armed robbery attacks, and they watched and wept helplessly as nobody came to their rescue. At mid morning of today, some POS agents at Akwakuma Junction by Mbieri Road in Owerri were attacked by armed robbers, and all they had were looted. Day after day, bank customers are ambushed in Orlu and robbed. Across the State, everyone now walks the streets with bated breath and sleeps with one eye open.

The perplexity however is that nobody can tell for sure the whereabouts of Chief Hope Uzodinma, who is supposed to be the chief security officer of the State. Nobody knows where he is. Some say he has gone to Abuja in search of safety. Others suspect that he has moved into exile. Yet, some others opine that the Omuma-born politician might have simply resigned. There is confusion everywhere.

Today in Imo, each day brings a sorrow which the next day steals away.

It smacks of insensitivity and abdication of responsibility for the helmsman of Imo State to search for cover when he is the cover the people should be searching for. Imo people need to hear from their supposed governor. They need to be reassured. They need to be shown the roadmap to peace. They need those in office to justify their salaries and allowances by discharging their duties. The first duty of government is the protection of lives and property. In the face of rampaging threats to the lives and property of Imo people, they ask with tears in their eyes: "Where is Hope Uzodinma?"

To heighten the apprehension of Imo people, Uzodinma was conspicuously absent in the Enugu meeting over the weekend which was convoked by the South East Governors' Forum and Ohanaeze Ndigbo to seek remedy to the insecurity that has engulfed the region. Considering that Imo State is the worst hit by this insecurity dung pig in the region, the absence of Uzodinma easily connotes his distain for the very same lives and property he ought to protect.

Leaders solve problems, and today Imo people are left to their fate by those who pretend to leadership. Let Uzodinma know that the lives of Imo people are in his hands to protect, and his refusal to protect them speaks volumes about who he is to them: an oppressor, never a leader!

What do you guys expect the man to do? Would you stay if you were him. Kanu that routinely issues threats on the governors for collaborating with Fulani, suddenly did not issue any threat in his last broadcast except a veiled allusion of plans to bury his commander better than the Oba of Benin. I ask, if you were Uzodimma, would you be anywhere near Imo state? It beats me how these people pushed IPOB to arm.

Police and army and Hope Uzodinma say they don't ESN in the SE.

So Uzodinma who is the chief security officer of the state must provide security. He is responsible for the insecurity

My very good friend. So u never go Canada? Na wetin you dey wait for?

On a more serious note, the Buhari administration is causing all these problems. His highhandedness in dealing with issues that concern Igbos have made IPOB and ESN more hostile towards him and the instruments of government authority.

He failed to realise that this is a new generation of Igbos who did not see the previous war, and are very very willing to go to war to end their miserable existence in Nigeria

Buhari did not only fail SE but Nigeria in general, apart from Norther region why are SW and SS not behaving like ESN and Igbos?

Please be sincere with your response

While Igbos have huge respect for life, they are extremely aggressive towards oppressors. In Haiti up till today, they pay respect to their Igbo ancestor section for being the spiritual engine room that was instrumental in their war of independence against France. IGBO GRAMOUN, IBOLELE.

Buhari chose to marginalise Igbos more than any southern group so the response from Igbos should not be surprising, coming from an aggressive people.

It is mainly Igbo protests that he repeated ordered his military goons to mow down with automatic rifles.

By the way the aggression in SS is increasing by the day also, and the Fulani major allies in the south are gradually seeking self determination. That shows there is something devilish with Buhari's administration

@ emboldened is not just stale but dumb.. No offense.

What have your state governors, senators, reps, state assemblies members being doing in terms of developing the region?

Do you people really have fair credible people to represent you, Aba city with population of 1 million plus recorded less than 20k votes for Reps bye election...

How would such kind of person cares about the rest that did not vote for him or participate in the the voting processing..

You guys should stop this blaming game cos it's not helping you at all

Are you remotely insinuating that people from different regions should behave in the same manner? Do you want IPOO and Amotekun to behave in way as Arewa, jihadists and Boko Haram? SW and minority of SS cannot act like SE. Nigeria is a home of different people of various behavioral patterns. It is silly to expect every Nigerian to act in the same manner.

SE are already behaving like Northerners... The Igbo people that I know are peace loving people.

How they allowed the scum bag Kanu to turn the region into unrest place is still something I am still questioning... How??

What about the tax revenue that comes from Aba? Is it not greater than what comes from Sokoto or Daura.
Don't blame Igbos for now having confidence in the electoral process. INEC and judiciary is being controlled by Buhari, so Igbos may not want to take part in the election charade

Since Buhari took over, how many Igbos have been made heads of any security agency. Just name one SEner that has headed any security arm since Buhari took over. SS people have had at least two of such. SW people have had at least two of such. SE people have had none. And you want them to feel a part of the nation.

SE people have more gas reserves than any other region. Has anyone from the SE ever headed NNPC or any of the major arms of the petroleum industry since Buhari took over?

Fulani herdsmen terrorists have been killing and maiming indigenous people throughout the length? and breadth of Nigeria. Did you see Buhari proscribing them or declaring them terrorists? But he declared a banner-waving organisation mainly because the SE is one of the major bases of the organisation.

I don't even want to talk about other issues.
Buhari has asked for the non-cooperation of Ndigbo, and he is getting it. He mistook this generation for cowards, totally ignoring the fact that no one can get madder than Igbos, if the chips are down. Fulani craze no go measure up with Igbo craze when im start.
gbos have not even started.
Buhari is only just feeling IPOB and ESN on the one side; and UGM from the otherside.
When all Igbos get involved, Buhari and his terrorist allies will not even have a chance.
1.There are Igbos who want separation from Nigeria - IPOB, MASSOB (militancy, military-age individuals)
2.There are Igbos that want restructuring - business class and some politicians (financial resources)
3.There are Igbos that want presidency - political class. (financial resources and worldwide political and diplomatic connections)

So far Buhari is only feeling the sting of IPOB. The other two classes of Igbos have not joined.
That is why IPOB is not enthusiastic about an Igbo emerging as the president in 2023, because they want the political class and the business class to join up with the agitation and bring to bear, their own immense resources.

Buhari also forgot that Igbos are a majority group, and can make things happen.

Let him not even count on southern minorities. They all want to run away with their resources and enjoy it alone, and they know that the Igbo struggle of the moment will help them in achieving that

Aba ppl recorded less than 20k votes yen yen yen.
So,that is the reason Buhari did not find any Igbo person worthy to be among his service chiefs even after bringing in a new set recently.
That is why there is no Igbo man is worthy to head any of the more than 15 para military organisations including customs, immigration, prisons, ndlea, civil defence, dss, nia, dicon, dmi etc?
So if anything involving security of the country is being discussed, there will be no Igbo person among them?
Your own zombie duty is to face Igbos.
