Venezuela ambassador said more than this during HE Obasanjo's reign and even volunteered to teach us how to run our petroleum industry, today, the country is far worse and there are hundreds of such countries including India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bolivia, Eastern Europe, South American, Middle East countries like Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon etc way far far behind but their citizens don't spend 24hrs demarketing their country because their President is Fulani, Muslim and defeated the god of some regions who was a complete disaster in government.

This land will curse those who curse it and bless those who bless it. Those who don't see the glory of the land will not partake in its glory. One sang Nigeria Jagajaga some years ago and today his life is so Jagajaga now that he is begging for money to feed, shelter and take care of his adorable but sick mum. The land did not bless him. Gazette broke out from Premium Times to focus on negative news and fake news on Nigeria so it can rank and earn online traffic revenue but it will soon fizzle out because you can't cheat all the time.

Patriots must take over the narrative from the traitors and idle ones who are devil's workshop. Market Nigeria daily and post our milestones online. Tell them of our great exploits in human and material resources. Tell the world that we are not without traitors but we always defeat them. The two out of the top women on global seats are Nigerians and one from our North while the other is from the South. Create our own Reader's Digest to give people something great and positive to read so you won't permit the negative and fake news merchants like Gazzete mess up people's minds and life then turn them into weapons or statistics of Nigerians suffering from depression they caused them with negative and fake news. Put your brand around the name Nigeria as a defiance against the traitors like we did at FreeStuffs Nigeria,FreeStuffsNG, where we wear our brand name with Nigeria and place patriotism over everything else as a company culture.

Nigeria always defeat her enemies. We did it before during the MEND era and today, the one tormenting Nigeria with MEND is in solitary confinement and forced rehabilitation. We will defeat all the terrorists from Boko Haram to IPOB terrorists to Bandits to their online trolls. We always defeat them.
God bless Nigeria.

Buhari is federally responsible for food security and his administration has done well in the area of food security. Don't take the rice fruits and vegetables you buy from the market for granted. Buhari has done a good job there...
Is that why inflation is galloping along at more than 18%?

By and large there's a limit to what one man can do so set your expectations accordingly.
Or maybe you should learn to raise your expectations a little, instead of setting them at below ground level. Buhari is the head of a powerful - in fact overly-powerful - presidency, in a highly centralized nation where states have no autonomy over most things that matter. If anyone deserves blame for Nigeria's sorry state, it's the man who's now midway through his second term sitting in Aso Rock.

Electricity and fuel the leaders of those ministries aren't doing a good job Buhari will eventually fire them hopefully but the blame should go to them not to Buhari
And who appointed them? Whose failure to properly assess the strengths and weaknesses of his candidates allowed them to get there? It's utterly ridiculous to absolve Buhari of the responsibility of appointing unsuitable people, assuming that is even where the problem really lies in the first place.

The fact of the matter is that Buhari is and always has been an extremely intellectually limited, yet delusionally self-regarding individual, who thinks he has the answers to all sorts of questions he's never bothered to even study, and whenever he's been given excellent advice by people who serve under him, he's chosen to ignore it. Under such circumstances, even if every minister in Buhari's cabinet was a Nobel Prize winner in his or her field, the end result would still be much the same as what it currently is: nonsensical economic policies and general political paralysis that is steadily leading Nigeria down the path Venezuela has blazed under Maduro.

US President Harry Truman showed what real leadership should look like when he made the statement "The buck stops here", acknowledging that bearing the ultimate authority in a country also means bearing ultimate responsibility. In a travesty of leadership, you Buhari apologists seem to think the buck should stop with anyone and everyone other than the man who ultimately calls the shots. I hope you're getting paid for your efforts, because I can't see how anyone with half a brain could look at this utter failure of a leader and voluntarily try to excuse his disastrous rule by shifting the blame onto underlings Buhari himself selected.

In the scenario I cited, the fault isn't Buharis. It's the fault of the Senate President/ president of house of reps....

Nigerias failure isn't just by the President. It's a failure of all other arms of government and institutions and buhari isn't responsible for that.

Buhari cannot:

Ensure security in Imo - that's the job of Imo Governor. Imo Governor can however ask for soldiers.

Ensure Senate sit 36hrs that's for Senate President to ensure.

Ensure good healthcare - that's for state governors to ensure.

Farmer herder crisis is for each state governor to solve - Buhari can't simultaneously solve that across 36 states

Governors are elected by the public not by Buhari.

Nigerians don't even know how government works and are so lazily blame it all on Mr President

maybe, maybe not, most likely not

but if the fish rots from the head it rots down ....... where?

answer this question please.

Nigeria third-worst governed country in the world: Report

"The Chandler Good Government Index, released for the first time, places Nigeria as the third-worst governed country in the world."

"The report noted that the ability to handle corruption properly is the strongest indicator of good governance. Thus the CGGI ranked Nigeria 102 out of 104 countries with a score of 0.319 points, ahead of Zimbabwe and Venezuela."

Mee:

The genocidal Buhari regime is the most corrupt government in the history of the Nigerian State. Buhari appointed an extremely corrupt element to head the anti-corruption agency, EFCC. Anybody that appointed a notorious thief as a Guard is also a thief.

The PDP is extremely corrupt but the Buhari gang took corruption to the next level as they perfected the art of looting the public treasury.

School children were "e-fed" during the Coronavirus lockdown by the humanitarian minister of Buhari, @Sadiya_farouq, who is known to all as his Girlfriend. Buhari created the humanitarian ministry as a conduit point of looting by his extremely corrupt cronies.

Contracts inflation is another methodology of looting the public treasury by the Buhari regime. A project that will cost 100 million Naira is inflated to 4bn Naira.

Lest I Forget! Venezuela made this list due to the debilitating sanctions by the US regime and other Western powers. The Socialist government in Venezuela did well in Governance. Then the US interference and sanctions. Venezuela presently can not export it oil and it assets in Western Banks and Financial institutions siezed.

My son, if sinners entice the, consent thou not

I choose to walk away from Nigerian politics. A good christian will find it hard to operate there except he is led to get involved. Rituals, looting, kidnapping, etc have taking over. I choose to walk away from Nigeria and pray for her from far. As I prepare for my last weeks in this country (not to return or visit for many years), I pray God heals her. It is well. And very soon will stop posting again on this forum to leave everything behind, and never to read bad news about Nigeria in order to protect my sanity where I will relocate to. Nigeria will be great again. God bless Nigeria.

Vaughanlanrewaj:

In life it's what you focus on that expands. You see straws but those who are behind the 23 new applications for airline licences in the past 6 months and right in the middle of Covid-19 don't see your straws. A Dangote who just took delivery of thousands of Truck from ANAMCO few days ago don't see straws, the Indomie company working day and night to finish the Lekki Free trade or Promasidor expecting more cows from US to expand its milk production don't see straws and the list is countless. You are not busy enough and you have great company consuming the negative and fake news on Nairaland and making money for others while opening up your mind to them or actively embellishing or enabling their negativity.
Lagos just broke the sod for a new train last week and Eko Atlantic city is almost fully sold. To get things in perspective, don't feed on the nairaland negative crew for 6 months and you will realise that you are in the minority. That's why those focusing on online negativity don't win elections. The true Nigeria is not online. That's why it appears the terrorists and unpatriotic elements among us are louder.

You are still making the error of assuming that anyone who speaks the truth or states the hard cold facts is either failing in life, or doing badly... You think or believe stating the evil as it is, is tantamount to being evil!

That says a lot about the depths of hypocrisy you have chosen to dwell in... Yes, make no mistakes sir, it is hypocrisy not optimism nor patriotism! That is exactly what is consuming this nation!

I am very successful in all I do, financially and otherwise! I will continue to move upward in life regardless of how this nation continues down this shameful path of poor leadership! There are others doing quite well, but still refuse to pretend all is well with their nation the way you and your ilk have chosen to.

It is your chosen right and prerogative to dwell in delusion painted as optimism or patriotism, but do well not to make a religion of it... Your over-written attempts neither gratify nor edify anyone.

If you truly are religious, then I need not teach you the essence of calling a spade what it is... If you are not, basic morality demands that you speak the truth regardless of whose ox is gored! Thank you.
