Pantami's Presidency Backing: Hypocrisy Taken Too Far

What is good for the goose is good for the gander, so they say. that saying seems to be practicable in a clime where one ram is not considered taller than the other.

Nigeria is no doubt in one of her most trying periods as we speak, the country is faced with issues of insecurity, economic downturn, unemployment, hyperinflation and so on. Top of which is the spate of insecurity spreading across the country like wildfire. It worthy to note that both the rich and poor are bearing the brunt of the incessant killings and kidnapping that is now the order of the day.

In all of these, the Federal government of Nigeria ably led by President Muhammad Buhari rather than harmonize all the resources in the arsenal of the country to fight and rescue the soul of the country from terrorists, it choose to plight the route of siding with a Minister with a track record of terrorists and extremist engagements.

The press release by Garba Shehu wherein the presidency described the allegations raised against the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami, as a "cancel campaign" targeted at the Minister by those who want him out of office is the most irresponsible and useless of the many reckless pieces to have come from the presidency. The defense as faulty as it was was premised around the Minister's renouncement of his extremist belief and that some ICT companies are the ones sponsoring a smear campaign against the Minister. The question begging for answer is how amidst a highly contentious security situation, a country will trust the data of her population with a man who has been link with a renounced terrorist group in the world, Al-Qaeda and whose actions in the past justified his belief?. Before his appointment as a Minister, he served as DG of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), an ICT implementing arm of the Federal Ministry Of Communication of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. People who know the importance of classified information should understand why Nigeria is ranked third on the terrorism index.

The argument of Nigerians saying the defense what borne out of ethnic and religious agenda is justified by the stance of the presidency in the case of the erstwhile Minster of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, who throughout his travail did not have the support of his employer. A Yoruba Christian Minsiter from the Southwest didn't have the support of the presidency over NYSC certificate issue but a Northern Muslim Minister on a weighty allegation of terrorism does, isn't that an height of hypocrisy?

The Buhari government in all honesty is rubbing the fact that Nigeria is not one and the Northerners are more Nigerian than the other on our face, the agitation for self-determination is on the increase and gradually getting the support of the international communities. The government of the day is no doubt on a hidden mission, we must all braze up to stand for ourselves as the current realities project looming evil

Plenty talk.
The janjaweeed has unleashed full terrorism on you all, you are still blowing grammar.

You called the presidency's backing of pantami "hypocrisy taken too far", when it is glaring that this is full blown terrorism.

Cowards keep blowing grammar everyday. Slaves keep speaking big english without any decisive action.

Mr man terrorists are destroying your people, but you prefer to be politically correct. You & your people can't even fight back & defend yourselves - poor slaves.

You people voted for them in 2015, and reelected them in 2019. They repaid your loyalty by killing your people, you are still speaking big english.

SHAME! SHAME!! SHAME!!!
