Loving your partner is one thing and relating peacefully with one another is a different ball game entirely. You know your partner’s temperaments, his or her strengths and weaknesses. How you choose to live up and manage all these is entirely up to you but then, you both need to be open and honest with each other. Your partner is your significant other and, it’s in your place to find out ways you can come to an agreement point with your partner.
A lot of people have built on this stereotyped notion that specific roles are applicable to specific genders and, they find it irksome doing stuff that aren’t in line with what is expected of their gender. For instance, if you’re a man and your girl needs to go loosen her hair in the saloon, if you have some free time, you can assist her with loosening her hair. Doing this will allow you two more time to bond and, she’ll be at rest with you. Deciding to take the burden off her by helping with some of the chores is another great way of bonding with your partner. Women are naturally wired to multitask so, if she finds you assisting with things she’d ordinarily do on a normal day, it’ll make her love and adore you even more.
If you’re a woman and you observe that the man in your life is always in the habit of taking his clothes to the laundry men outside (most men do that), you could help save him some cash by offering to help him do the laundry at home; maybe twice every week. Most men wouldn’t want to bother their women but, it doesn’t mean that they don’t appreciate random gestures from their women from time to time. If you can afford to, help to fuel his car when next you both take a ride (in his car) into town. In the event that he doesn’t have a car yet and you hire a private cab or use public transport, elect to pay for the fare. Doing this will warm his heart so greatly and, it’ll grow the bond you both share.
Talking about doing the unusual for your man, if you happen to spend the weekend at his place and, you want to do something unusual for him, why not go with the idea of making him breakfast in bed? Men are usually the ones to make their women breakfast in bed and, it has come to be a widely accepted norm in the society. You could either make him noodles with lots of veggies or scrambled eggs with bread/fried plantain and tea or, toasted bread and hot coffee. Men love to be pampered and given some TLC (Tender Loving Care) too; just incase you didn’t know.
How well do you know and manage your partner’s temperaments? Do you both get angry at about the same time? Who calms the other down when the other is upset? When you both can know and learn to manage each other’s temperaments, then, you are on your way to a perfect together. Help each other to love each other. Assist and support each other at every chance you get. Apologize when you know you’re in the wrong and, learn to adjust to fit into each other’s lives.
