What!!! It's meaningless to wonder about the lofty heights science could and would attain in the future, simple because it's likely not to happen in our lifetime? If this is the way scientists think, we would still be stuck in stone age where donkeys and snakes talked, where men go to heaven in chariots of fire, where the wisest man said to ever lived had nothing to bequeath the world except plenty of wives and concubines and settling of local disputes between two women's claim to being the biological mother of a baby, etc etc.

PS. "Being realistic" and " rapture" should never appear in the same sentence. If there is something that is the most unrealistic in the world, it would be rapture.

Reading through your comment here I am reminded of the idea from back in the 50s that cars would be flying by the turn of the century. LOL
Scientists tend to be more realistic these days than you make them out of be here.
