Anambra airport didn’t cost $2.2 billion.

The $2.2 billion op quoted was the amount that the original Chinese investors planed to invest to build an airport city with industrial and trade zones but unfortunately the deal didn’t work out.

Anambra state government was forced to dig into Anambra budget to build the airport. The airport doesn’t even cost upto $200 million because most materials used to build it was locally sourced.

Anambra state government confirmed that all the metal framing for the airport was fabricated in Aba.

The cement was sourced locally

The rods was sourced locally

Most of the elements in building the airport was all sourced locally. Including the roofing sheets.

I don't know about the cost of the airport product in Anambra.

But I can say that an airport built in South East with materials sourced from the South East is a great source of concern to the part of Nigeria that is fighting hard to keep Nigeria one.

They tremble at the thought of how fast the Biafran enclave will develope if they finally exit.

I wonder what the OP intended to achieve with fake News. Anambra airport has a modest budget supervised by a team of experts from Anambra state working in various fields outside the state who worked on the project out of patriotism.
Sourcing material locally means that the money circulated in Anambra and Nigeria

HMMMMMMMM

NOT THIS AIRPORT BRO

At an estimated cost of US$2.3 billion, the first phase of construction the three-runway airport will have a cargo capacity of 2.5 million tons and a passenger capacity of 80 million a year. Two runways are being constructed in the first phase -- the west runway is 3600 meters in length and 45 meters in width, while the east runway is 3800 meters and 45 meters respectively. The vertical distance between the two runways is 2200 meters. The two long-distance parallel runways will be equipped with precise instrument landing system and flying assistant lighting system. The third paralleled runway is designed 680 meters south of the east one, with a length of 3200 meters and a width of 45 meters

Why misleading the public, just a little research would have cleared all the falsehood 2.2Billion dollar nonsense. Anambra State signed an MOU with a Chinese company to build an (airport city) there is a difference between just an airport and an airport city but the Chinese company back out from the deal, then in the year 2020 Anambra state budgeted 6billion Naira, Naira not dollars to start the project 2021 budget yet to be released but the airport is not even up to 250 million dollars but you are here with your billions falses information.

This is an absolute failure and a disgrace. The fact that some people are actually proud of this development is sad. But unfortunately the potopoto region has little to no developments.

You are very dull. Even if the Governor wants to embezzle state funds, at least he will steal what is available. The amount you are mastibuting over is more than a trillion naira

In his eight years as governor he has not handled such amount....including the borrowings...

You are asking people to use their head when from your judgement it is doubtful if you have any on your neck
Again, you are very dull for a youth with access to the internet
