But development IS happening.

A Lagosian from the 1980s will not recognise the Lagos of today, with things like the BRT system and its air-conditioned public buses with USB connectivity, ambulances you can call on your phone, flyovers everywhere, the transformation of Lekki and the island, the ferry system. New roads being built with sidewalks and covered drains. Shopping malls everywhere, high speed rail service to Ibadan, Abeokuta etc, with city-wide rail services about to be commissioned. A LOT has changed in Lagos.

Is it cities like Uyo, Ikot Ekpene, Abakaliki, Nnewi, and Awka?

These places were VILLAGES with mud huts in the 1980s. I used to pass through them.

Go there today. Shopping malls, banks, stadiums, conference centres, flyovers, expressways, universities, major hospitals. A total transformation.

There was nothing like Abuja in the 80s. It was just a bush with some few buildings. Today it is one of Africa's most beautiful cities.

So Nigeria is developing.

America has been independent for 300+ years. UK 600 years. Nigeria merely 60. Give them time.

Some countries gained independence same time with us or around same time.. Singapore is one of them, Malaysia is another. Some countries discovered oil same around time we did and used it to transform their country but we used ours to loot away in Europe.

Bro, all these things you mentioned aren't development. Air conditioner busses. Lol

The people don't have security, the people don't have access to proper health care, the people don't have good roads as terrible roads are littered across the country, the people don't have electricity as generator is extremely common, the people dig bore holes etc. These are what development is and not building here and there. Some countries in similar situations like ours have gone a great level to fix these things within 60 years. Pls, in Dubai alone, Nigerian politicians own over 400 million properties. Aside other cities o, aside other countries, aside those not seen.

Pls we didn't need heaven to fall for a typical black man to have sense regarding looting his country btyr dry. Forget motivational speech. Just don't pray to have health crises. U will need to be flown abroad or u die. We have failed bro.
