Kwara is 80% Fulani..so how is this news
you are wrong with this your calculation, even Ilorin itself is 70% yoruba. In case you don't know, the word Ilorin is yoruba which means ILO-IRI or IBI TI WON TI LO IRIN (THE PLACE WHERE THEY SMOOTH OR BLEND IRON) don't say what you don't know, because i am from kwara state, even Tapa language has more population than fulani in kwara, go and research that. Finally, Kware State is for oduduwa republic. With igbomina scoring 55%, Ekiti kwara scoring 15%, while Tapa 15%, fulani 10% others 5%. Mind you Igbomina 55% Ekiti kwara 15% =70% the two are pure yoruba

This is what I don't understand, Fulani allow Yoruba to live, work and thrive in Kwara, and even have allowed Yoruba to have the chance to run and win elections to become governor in a Northern state.

This shows you that the Fulani man is detribalized, however the reverse is not the case. Imagine those from the SW living in a Fulani state like Kwara, but raising alarm when the reverse is the case.

Could those in the SW allow a Fulani governor the same way Fulani allow Yoruba governors in Kwara? We need a serious discussion on all of these issues because we are fanning the flames of tribalism.

We need to do away with institutionalized tribalism like "state of origin", that way all Nigerians can claim a stake in any part of Nigeria and cannot be removed. This should be the new focus in order to keep Nigeria one and give everyone a sense of belonging.

Nigeria is our collective destiny and inheritance.

Lol Bro you are so ignorant. Fulanis are not even up to 15% in Kwara and yeah I'm from Kwara state so I know what I'm saying

What we need is cultural understanding of all the tribes that make up this great nation. Let's take time to truly understand the Fulani instead of making the Fulani man the collective enemy of the state. Let's use understanding to reach peaceful resolutions.

The reason they cannot enter town is because they are not looking to rent flats, many of these Fulani came in from the Sahel where many faced persecution as they were the minority.

Therefore, they are looking to settle in empty forests and areas where no one is living in order to set up settlements where they can live in peace. They are not looking to pay rent in a place where they will continue to be a minority and potentially face the same persecution they faced in the places they came from, so they are looking for land to simply call their own within this great nation.

This is why they need to simply be left alone, or the various state governments can help by arranging lands where they can settle, this way there will be no farmer/herder clashes as the Fulani will have their place and not infringe on lands that are already occupied. This is the only way for peace to reign.

1. They should first apply for residency permit just all others.

2. They must understand that the lands belong to people and not theirs to just stroll in and own.

3. They should stop killing people and destroying their crops.

4. They should stop kidnapping people.

5. They should stop invading villages and killing everyone they see.

6. They should go back to their sahel and reclaim their lands, not coming to disturb people and grab their lands.

7. Stop painting them innocent. They are wicked and evil. The killed our people for no just cause.

Respectfully,

1. They should first apply for residency permit just all others.

The Fulani man is a global citizen, anywhere he goes in Africa he views as his home and contributes to the host community, this is simply a fact. Secondly, that is not the culture of the Fulani man, the Fulani man has his own culture that differs from what you listed above, and all cultures should be respected. Thirdly, the Fulani are occupying empty forests and bush. Unfortunately, some farmers do not understand the culture of the Fulani and will look at this as an incursion into what the farmer perceives to be his "land." Once this happens we will see farmer/herder clashes, this is why we need state governors to institute ranching so everyone will know their side and there will be peace.

Foreigners are foreigners. They can't just migrate into people's territory and start to disturb them.

You type like a semi-illiterate. Simply because there are few fulanis who are Nigerians doesn't mean that fulanis from other countries are Nigerian citizens.

Let the fulani herdsmen stay away from people's domains. It doesn't belong to them. You must understand that.

The forest belongs to people. No land in Nigeria is free. So, they should stop occupying people's forest reserves.

2. They must understand that the lands belong to people and not theirs to just stroll in and own.

This is why we need ranching, this way everyone will know their side. The land reserved for the farmers will be demarcated, and the land for the herders will likewise be demarcated.

Why should governors demarcate and allocate lands to the fulanis? Why? Are they citizens? What kind of entitlement mentality is that?

Ranching is a private business. Let these foreigners first to immigration offices and formally apply for residency permits, and if their applications are successful, they can buy lands for ranching.

No land is free for foreigners to grab.

In a saner clime, these illegal immigrants were supposed to be deported back to Sahel.

3. They should stop killing people and destroying their crops.

Many of these killings are actually Fulani being attacked by the host community, if you look at the Eastern part of the South, you will understand the massacre that is happening to Fulani. Lastly, many of the killings are communal clashes between the indigenes, but they will blame Fulani. If Fulani have been doing so much chaos, why are there no Fulani currently in court, or in cells awaiting prosecution? I'm sure you can see where propaganda falls in the face of reality.

They are not in court because buhari gave them the protection.

Fulanis have once destroyed my farm. They made their cattle feed on my crop while they stood there uprooting the remaining crops for their cows. They are evil.

4. They should stop kidnapping people.

Many of these kidnappings are unfortunate. However, they are products of Fulani marginalization. Due to the media smear campaign against Fulani, they can no longer herd cattle in the south due to attacks, many of these men are life long cattle rearers and have lost their livelihood, so they turn to crime. It is the same as banning okada and then the crime rate increases. This is why we need ranching, once implemented it will stop kidnapping.

You are making excuses for your people for kidnapping and killing Nigerians. You didn't condemn the atrocities and mass killings by your people. It shows how evil you are. Soon, all good Nigerians will wake up one day and wipe you people out if you don't change your ways. Nobody have the monopoly of killing.

Warn them to leave Nigeria.

5. They should stop invading villages and killing everyone they see.

This is why each state in the south should clearly demarcate where the herders are to be, and where the farmers are to be.

Clearly demarcate land for who? Illegal immigrants/foreigners?

We did our census in 2006 and our governments' plans for us is usually based the figure from the census. We don't need more pressure on our resources.

Imagine the sense of entitlement? Global citizens my a55. You people should go to Europe or USA and try these nonsenses and see what the meaning of fire is.

I don't blame you guys, it is buhari that I blame.

6. They should go back to their sahel and reclaim their lands, not coming to disturb people and grab their lands.

Fulani are indigenous to Nigeria, as such, all Fulani have a home with their brothers anywhere in Africa. You cannot have two brothers unable to be one simply because colonists came and created countries over indigenous nations. We are no longer under colonial rule, as such we follow our original African rules, under those rules brothers are brothers no matter what country they were divided into, whether it be Nigeria, Niger or Chad. Fulani is one family and family is always welcome.

7. Stop painting them innocent. They are wicked and evil. The killed our people for no just cause.

Fulani love peace and love Nigeria. Nigeria will be great as there is strength in diversity.
