|Video Of Mass Conversion To Islam Was Not Shot In Nigeria by efogator(f): 4:24pm On May 06|
Yesterday, a certain video went viral on twitter and other social media platforms. On the video, hundreds of people gathered in an open space, some women were seen pointing fingers towards the sky as they were being converted to Islamic religion forcefully. People came and alleged that the incident happened in Niger State. But our newsmen have revealed that the incident didn't happen in Niger State.
The video was posted by the former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani Kayode on his verified twitter handle yesterday. He wrote and stated that Boko Haram and ISWAP members are forcefully converting people to Islam in the parts of Niger State. He further made it known that the incident is happening just two hours from Abuja.
Based on that note, the Governor of Niger State came out and debunked the claim. While speaking, the governor of Niger State, Abubakar Bello made it known that such thing never happened in Niger State. He also stated that the claim is fake and misleading and the work of those who wish to see the country up in flames.
Our newsmen made it known that it traced the video to a town in northern Cote d'Ivoire, a French speaking country in West Africa.
Our newsmen gave the name of the person that uploaded the video as Brahima. When he was asked questions, he revealed that event took place in Bagouẹ́ Region of Northern Côte d'Ivoire.
So those that are thinking that this is happening in Niger State should please take things easy. But on the other hand, the government should be proactive so as to prevent such from happening in Nigeria.
