How Buhari’s Chief Of Staff, VIPs Have Been Living At The Mercy Of Armed Robbers by bolaayenimo: 11:14pm On May 10, 2021 |
The Presidency on Monday confirmed reports that a gang of armed robbers reportedly attacked the residences of Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, and that of Administrative Officer, Abubakar Maikano, on a street around the Villa gate, Abuja. Confirming the report, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Garba Shehu said the Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, had confirmed that there “was a foolish attempt” to burgle his residence at 3:00 am this morning (Monday, May 10, 2021) but it turned out to be unsuccessful. Shehu added that Professor Gambari, whose house is on a street next to the Villa, had assured well-wishers that there was nothing to worry about from the incident. He wrote in his tweet: “The Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari has confirmed that there “was a foolish attempt” to burgle his residence at 3:00 am this morning but it turned out to be unsuccessful. “Professor Gambari, whose house is on a street next to the Villa has assured that there is nothing to worry about from the incident.” Speaking with DAILY INDEPENDENT, a presidency source who gave the name of the street as Suleiman Barau Street, Presidential Villa Abuja, said residents of the street, which include serving and former governors and other Very Important Personalities (VIPs) have been living in palpable fear as armed robbers have been ravaging the street, moving from house to house. “The name of the street where the Chief of Staff lives is Suleiman Barau street and it is not within the Presidential Villa. It is around the Villa gate. “The Chief of Staff to the President and other VIPs including serving and former Governors are on that road. “Liyel Imoke, former (Governor of) Cross Rivers and Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq live on that same road. “Armed robbers have been ravaging that road for almost a week now, moving from house to house,” he said. https://independent.ng/exclusive-how-buharis-chief-of-staff-vips-have-been-living-at-the-mercy-of-armed-robbers/ 1 Like

This explanation is important. There is a clear distinction between Aso Rock and presidential villa. |

The Chief of Staff to the President and other VIPs including serving and former Governors are on that road. Isn't it funny and laughable that a street close to the seat of power , which play host to former governors and notable vips is enjoying attention from armed robbers ? And the biggest joke is that no arrest was made 3 Likes |

If robbers can 'invade' such fortified area, who says terrorists can't? Imagine if they are able to kidnap the Chief of Staff, they'll simply ask for the key to the vault at CBN. The chicken is coming home to roost and they should all be worried. 1 Like |

joyairemiya: Yea it's possible. But there are different ways of hiding cctv. Most hotels in China have secret camera in their rooms. If they are serious, they can hide the camera at strategic positions. But this incidence is just propaganda, they know what they are doing. |
